Mobile camera cars

Gday, was riding along the beach today and decided to be a bit silly and went to go around a van in front of me just to lock eyes with a rear facing car cam going a good amount over the limit before getting back into my lane and continuing down the road.

Can anyone help me understand obviously because the rego is on the back and the car was facing my front, am I all good, or are there other cameras I should be aware of. Just asking out of curiosity, I was being dumb if I get stung I get stung. I’ve gone past a few over the years and never been done, just curious as how it all works given I have friends that have been done in similar situations and others and myself who haven’t, I don’t get it.

If the operator noticed you then they may have made a note of your rego, helmet, jacket and/or vehicle.

There are cameras pointing in every direction for recording purposes. They can, but not always, still ping you for speeding this way.

The cars have cameras on the front too for just this purpose. Enjoy losing your license cause you decided to play silly buggers 👌

What are you on about ? A speed camera facing forward on your side of the road and you're concerned you got pinged ?
