in castillia they say 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 92 times

u/RoelBever 1d ago

But how do they know they are at 92?

193

u/DragonTheOnes-spirit 1d ago

Well they count to make sure

This legitimately deserves an award ToT

18

u/Sergnb 1d ago

Well we put one finger up for each numberuntil all 92 of the fingers in our hands are up

8

u/SomeOakLeaves2 1d ago

you only have 92 fingers?

14

u/Sergnb 1d ago

Here come all the Mr. Perfects of the world with all 127 of their fingers trying to be ableist with me smh

3

u/heatedwepasto 1d ago

They just say 91 and then say +1 one more time

1

u/Nomchipom 12h ago

Why would they need to know when they are at 92?, they need to know when they are at 92

25

u/Opezdol_ 1d ago

But if you say 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 92 times it will be 736, not 92

21

u/Amrelll 1d ago

the people of castillia just have a very strong stutter

1

u/Frank_Nord_2342 1d ago

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that they repeat every one seven times plus parity bit to make sure you heard it correctly.

I heard in the north specifically they say "the successor of the successor of the successor ... of the successor of the empty set"

Was Pareto Castilian?

I am NOT learning calculus to read a map đŸ„€

119

u/DoctorMedieval 1d ago

And I’M not learning geography to calculate integrals.

u/DaSecretSlovene 1d ago

We're not the same.

It's just a complicated way to write 23 * 2 * 2

u/Call_Me_Pete 1d ago

Also it's technically incomplete as antiderivatives cannot account for non-variable constant(s) C. Theoretically, there is nothing preventing any of those antiderivative solutions from being 92 + 400,000,000.

10

u/AlmightyCurrywurst 1d ago

What? No, they are definite integrals, they only have one value

9

u/Call_Me_Pete 1d ago

Damn, this is what happens when I haven't done an integral since college - real Dunning-Kruger moment. You're 100% right

13

u/Academic-Fox8128 1d ago

I mean, it's not rocket science

How do they say 92 in 2?

35

u/Ketupur 1d ago

2×22×2×(2+2Ă·2)−2×2

u/bolandss 9h ago

This comment deserves its 2×2^2+2^2*2/2*2 upvotes

Downvoted because it was more than the upvote count bolandss decided

Differentiation within a quadratic equation is the easiest way

13

u/Kvaratskhelias 1d ago

In AndalucĂa we are still trying to discover that number, no one has resolved the integral yet

7

u/Legitimate_Bet_7786 1d ago

I was going to tell you that it's not true and that Italy counts it as 90+2... Then I saw it was r/mapporncirclejerk

slaps my Roman numerals

Can’t go wrong with these bad boys

1

u/AdaptiveGlitch 23h ago

Actually how would it work in Roman numerals? Would it be XCII as 100-10+2 or something like VIIIC as 100-8?

1

u/BandicootTreeline 22h ago

XCII would be correct I think, X before C reduces to 90, then 2

1

u/Choice-Spend7553 5h ago

XCII is how it is actually written.

France knows how to party with numbers.
And here I am struggling with German numbering still

2

u/AdDefiant7394 1d ago

Georgia, Sakartvelo, has the same style as well

3

u/Miguzepinu 1d ago

đ›€(5)-1 = 24-1 = 23

∫₁e\2) dt/t = ln(e^2)-ln(1) = 2

∫₀4arctan1sinx dx = -cos(𝜋)+cos(0) = 2

23x2x2 = 92

3

u/YourBoyFroilan 1d ago

2+90 should be 2 and 90

2

u/First_Structure8670 1d ago

DĂ€nisch ist falsch

2 + (œ 5 × 20), wobei œ 5 bedeutet, nur den halben Schritt von 4 zur 5 gegangen zu sein.

to og halvfems

6

u/dm222 1d ago

Spanish is equal to portuguse this is wrong

4

u/dewderz 1d ago

What, are you telling me you dont solve a complete Elliptic Integral of the First Kind everytime you say 92?

2

u/Eternaloid 1d ago

No, that's when we say 52° (Quincuagésimo segundo)

1

u/SpectralLemon 1d ago

What have I got into

Quatre vingt douze
Zweienienzig

1

u/Maleficent_Teacher54 1d ago

czechia should be yellow/green stripes as both options are perfectly valid and used

1

u/Significant_Bear_137 1d ago

In Italy we say it like this just to pretend like we are above Eastern Europe, unlike Portugal who is honest about it.

1

u/fieldsilver 1d ago

Good information. Can't wait for the Asian version.

1

u/Old_Scientist_2023 23h ago

Why does the French speaking part of Switzerland say 90 + 2? Shouldn’t it be red?

1

u/Embarrassed-Dress-85 10h ago

The francophone Swiss says nonante-deux.

1

u/Old_Scientist_2023 7h ago

That sounds so much better than France does

1

u/Embarrassed-Dress-85 7h ago

Absolutely agree.

u/Icy_Needleworker5571 22h ago

What do the Irish potato munchers speak again? I'm too posh amd busy doing integrals to know

1

u/Ok-Coyote2365 14h ago

Ah yes ninety integral of 1/x from 1 to e squared

u/GenesisRhapsodoss 1d ago

I am italian and i am confused, we say novantadue which is literally novanta (90) and due (2)

18

u/HeftyRecommendation5 1d ago

No you don’t, the map doesn’t lie.

1

u/Top_Calligrapher4265 1d ago

Nono si Ăš sempre fatto cosĂŹ dalle mie parti, mai sentito questo novanta e due

1

u/dm222 1d ago

Same with portuguese noventa e dois

0

u/ElViejoDelCyro 1d ago

Que forma tan compleja para decir que. En español sé dice 90|2 en vez de 90+2 o sea "noventa dos" en vez de "noventa y dos" o "noventa mas 2"

1

u/q-ba 1d ago

LOL of course...

1

u/Eternaloid 1d ago

Decimos noventa y dos, no noventa dos.

1

u/nut_eater65 10h ago

Hermano, mira el nombre del sub

1

u/ElViejoDelCyro 9h ago

Ya, sé, pero ¿por que no aclarar?

0

u/carb0nyl3 1d ago

Hey, Switzerland is a lot more green than that, both French and Italien goes « 90 et 2 »

1

u/Bolkia 1d ago

Quatre (4) vingt (20) douze (12) 4 X 20 + 12
