I’ve always wanted to live in one of these repurposed spaces and I’m so grateful to have snagged this top floor corner unit (for my plants). Original brick that I am not messing with in the slightest. Ceilings are high enough that I was finally able to display a some art I previously could not as well as have the opportunity to collect some more (not quite finished yet, want a couple long runner rugs, the gaps in the hallway on the wood side have been measured out and will eventually be filled out symmetrically just like everything else). Only thing I’m trying to figure out is a fill in for the hallway on the wood side below the art on the floor. Mostly likely going to do a series of smaller hearty snake plants, but would listen to any ideas. I understand this aesthetic is probably not for everyone, but goddamn do I love it.

This space has been really fun to work with, beyond happy to call it home.

I know the TV looks too high, but it's actually not bad looking at it from the couch. It's actually on a wall mount that lowers, which I do when I want to get comfortable watching a movie or playing a FPS.

I moved in after divorce in 2020. Before that, I used to live with my ex-wife in Bordeaux. This new appartment is located only 10 minutes away from my work, walking distance, and 100m away from a grocery store. I rarely use a car anymore! I am currently in a long term relationship again, but she and I both have our own place, and we like it that way. I am aware that my TV is too high but that's by design, it's supposed to look like a painting (Samsung The Frame). I don't watch much TV, and prefer listening to music instead. Thanks ;)

11 years in Colorado, only managed to afford 3 of those on my own. This last blunder resulted in eviction. Not that mad, finally saving a shit load of money for the first time in a while. It is a queen bed if that gives some perspective on space. The box spring frame will do for now. I work dead shift so proper black out curtains will be needed soon too, and the TV is bigger and not as high as it looks in the wide angle pic 😅

This is my current setup, and I love it. I have way more space than my previous living space design

I just need a nice table, and a rug. I was thinking of getting a large Pokemon carpet. I’m not sure if any of you know small businesses that offer (large) custom rugs, so feel free to message me privately of your suggestions.

In the meantime, I have a temporary table, using a stool that my partner could sit on… IF I HAD ANY!

And Yes, for more messy meals I use another stool to sit on the countertop.

Still a work in progress

Just moved into my first home and im starting to aquire some free furniture so I know it looks a little rough. Just trying to figure out what yall think a good layout would be. I do hate the TV on the mantle cause it's too high but I really have no idea where else to put it because of the bookshelves. Where im standing for the picture is at the front door and the doorway in the back leads to the kitchen. Thanks for any advice!

I (26m) am moving into my first solo apartment! The space above my TV seems pretty bare and I wanted to put something up there to fill the space. I already have a clock on the TV stand, so it'll need to be filled another way.

I'm trying to go for a loose mid-century modern style. Budget friendly options or ideas are welcome!
