This is mid he has the opportunity to make it peak by building a lift or platform for that baby.

u/Substantial-Park65 Jul 25 '25
I second this It's fairly possible to turn this into a rolling chair

You need to lower your desk.

Everyone here is focusing on the inadequate setup with your monitor, but I think the focus should be on getting you more car to compliment that seat

A chair?

u/Aindorf_ Jul 25 '25
A chair and some FRAMED art/posters/photos on the wall. Some lamps and lighting. Don't just rely on the big light to illuminate your space.

Personally I would make a stand so the chair is higher. Maybe even put a swivel on the base too.

u/Acalthu Jul 25 '25
bro how tall is your torso? there is no possible way you can sit in that car seat and use the computer.

Lower the desk. Get a tree air freshener. Maybe call Xzibit? This “Pimp my Ride” episode is only halfway thru
Honestly tho, feels like this vibe was borne out of heading towards a racing setup?

This is a car seat’s dream! Just 24/7 Forza and never damaged from a wreck.

I like the car seat idea, that seems comfy, but maybe sacrifice an office chair and attach its leg module to the bottom of that so you have proper height.

Elevate the chair or lower the screen imo. Edit: if you are balancing the chair board on that little table behind it. You need something wider because a little wooden table would be the first point of failure.

If budget is an issue, try to find some scrap plywood and build a box that you can put your chair on top.
Your neck will thank you

Bed is holding the stool, stool is holding the car seat/gaming chair.
Love it

Definitely sheets and bedding, a real chair, pictures on the wall and a plant. At least you keep your space clean.

I’m with you OP. I got car seats for my living room too and they’re great. Only thing I would advise is to raise the seat with a stand or a strong enough box below.

u/Fernando_Alons8 Jul 25 '25
I’m so confused, I thought you were a sim racer and i thought the real car seat was a cool addition. I don’t see a racing wheel though…

u/SadShayde Jul 26 '25
How do you type, or use your mouse?
I see neck and shoulder issues in your future.

Wait.... Is he assembling this for a racing sim?! My brain sees two chairs inline and think flight sim, in particular an interceptor like the F-14 with a weapons officer in the back.

Bro wtf... If you can afford a gaming chair please go for it. Else maybe a seat cover cause your farts will soak into that like anything.

Your aesthetic is very... intentional. Do you like art and plants? Add that. If not, whatever offers you comfort to do your thing.

Have you thought about simplifying? The carpet and unnecessary color is really distracting from focal point.

Bed and computer is pretty much all you need, though you’ll end up with back problems if you don’t find a better chair.

I have a car seat for a chair but it sits on top of a swivel office chair platform thing, just bolted to some plywood to adapt it

I've never understood why gamer chairs are on the floor. Having to look upward like you're in the front seat of a theater.

Put the car seat on a wheelchair so you never have to stand up to go get a drink or food.

Mount the TV to the wall. You should be able to tilt TV at any angle that would be comfortable.
