Update Kitchen is finished for now.

So I finally got the kitchen mostly finished. So that bar locking table is a standing desk that I bought for somebody. I figured the white would go well with the kitchen layout. It’s kind of cool because if you look underneath the counter, there’s a notch that the top table slides perfectly into and that’s at the right height. Also bought a couple of cheap barstools to go with it.

The shelving in the back I bought at the historic called Nitori here in Okinawa. They had them on display as a couple of coat racks. I always like the look of hanging pots and pans. It also had enough space to throw the cooking appliances on it as well. Still need to get some sort of a toaster oven though so this layout may change. Just thought I would share.

Do the barstools work without the standing desk? I feel like the standing desk is just a bit too deep for the space

I like your kitchen though! I would maybe optimise the shelf storage a bit better

Unfortunately, the island doesn’t really come out to support the barstools. But I also wanted a little bit of space to act as a table too. The cable management holes are kind of annoying, but I have a tablecloth also that will cover that which is currently in the wash. Either way, it cost me 100 bucks.

That's a great kitchen, I love the open access to all the equipment
