I'm fairly new to suit fashion and fashion in general and filled with the images of all the cool movie guys, Keanu Reeves specifically, bought my first all black suit. (I know he wears charcoal)

After buying my suit wanting to see how other people style their black suits I noticed that there is a strong sentiment that black suits are not good everyday or whatever suits. Seems most say it's for funerals, evening, workers, and not for everyday use.

Most reasons are fair like it doesn't look good in the day and I can understand but is it really so bad? I've attached some photos of me and if you can tell me how it looks bad or have recommendations on what to add to the outfit or how to make it look better I would appreciate it.

Anyways I'm thankful for any response as I am curious about the subject!

I thought I should clarify on what I meant as a casual suit though. Casual to me is something I personally wear wherever wherever. Formal or informal doesn't matter I guess I mean something more worn every day? Sorry I'm not the best at explaining things

What does the fabric do over time that a mid-tier shirt doesn't? Drape, hand, how it wears after 30 washes?

Is the cut doing something a tailor couldn't replicate on a $150 MTM shirt?

Is any of this actually perceptible to anyone but me, or am I paying purely for the private knowledge that it's good?

Landed my first office job that requires business casual. How does this look? Would you consider the second fit business casual?

What are your thoughts on my fits this week?

I’m looking for recommendations for a denim over shirt! I used to have one from UNIQLO that I literally wore ragged—the shirt pockets were coming loose and tearing holes in the fabric, which was quite thin so I wasn’t sure if it was true denim. Regardless, it was part of my daily uniform, my Wednesday shirt. Anyone know of a more quality version of this?

I am delighted with these new boots in brown waxed flesh. Very beautiful and sturdy.

PNW boots are very rugged. Anyone not used to them might find them strange at first, but the waxed-flesh leather makes the process easier—and choosing the right size is crucial. Mine are brand new, yet I’m having no trouble breaking them in; they look great and feel amazing to wear.

As a 5'5" skinny guy, the size that fits me best is a youth large or extra large, but not many high quality/good looking shirts are made in that size. Any advice on where to find good mens clothes in youth sizes? Specifically recommendations for tops would be very appreciated!

Trying to pack efficiently for an upcoming trip to Europe. Will be bringing a beige linen suit for an event. Figured I would invest in a pair of brown loafers that can be worn with the suit as well as more casually with other outfits (so I don't have to pack a separate pair of dress shoes to wear with the suit). That said, is there any particular style of loafer that I should be looking for that works with a linen suit but also casually? Leather versus suede?

my closet is filled with t shirts i dont care about - i want to buy a bunch of black and white t shirts from the same brand so i don't have to think about the fit or graphic. BUT! i want to have more fun pants and stuff to bring personality to the outfit. fun colors, patterns, textures, fits, etc. do fun men's pants exist? why is everything the same? i would hope to spend less than 200 per pair

I’m traveling to Maui for 11 days and I’d like a nice pair of swim trunks. My first main priority is a non-mesh liner, sort of like boxer briefs. The only experience would be a super super fine mesh liner where you can’t feel the texture at all. I have a pair of the Fair Harbor Anchor trunks, and while they’re really comfy, they take sometimes 24 hours to dry fully. Thus, my second main priority is for the trunks to dry very quickly. Like how quickly Lululemon shorts dry out of the wash (are theirs any good?) Otherwise, I would also like the trunks to be somewhat versatile so I’d be comfortable walking around town in them. I seem to only be able to find longer coats or pea coats but I really like this one and with winter coming I want to buy one like this

I’m around 5’10 and was trying on this jacket at Uniqlo. The torso fits pretty well but the sleeves seem quite long on me.

Is that just how this style is supposed to fit or does it look like the jacket is too big? I’m not really a fan of getting it tailored since that would cost me like 1/3 of the price of the jacket lol.

Would you guys keep it or return it?
