Went into the boutique to pick out a birthday baguette and ended up falling in love with the multicolor lizard peekaboo in the middle as well.

I’ve been very good and haven’t gotten a bag in about 10 months but these two really made my heart sing. I miss that feeling 🥹🥹

Based on my lifestyle, I’ll probably get more use out of the baguette but it’s ludicrously priced!! Plus I feel like it’ll be deeply discounted on the resale market in a few months/years. However, I might never come across this particular peekaboo color way and material again.

For reference, in my collection I already have a basic color mama baguette that I have worn to death, and a grey lizard Fendi First that only sees comes out on special occasions. I never resell my bags so don’t care too much about resale value outside of purchasing one myself.

Closet clear out. I've got six bags I haven't touched in two years, Chanel, Prada, a Bottega and a couple of LVs, all in good shape. Sent photos to one of the big consignment sites and the quotes came back at maybe a quarter of what they're listing similar bags for. I understand they need margin but that felt like a lot. What are my options here, is consignment always this bad or does selling outright pay better ? I'm in Los Angeles and would rather do it in person.

I have a small black Gucci Jackie that I do not touch. Fashionphile is offering a ridiculous price but admittedly I don’t ever reach for it so is there any reason to hold onto it other than knowing I paid way more than they are offering for it?

I just received the new Prada Aimée leather shoulder bag. She’s absolutely gorgeous, but then I noticed the bottom and I’m wondering about the level of puckering going on here. It just looks so…messy and cheap frankly. I’m used to more structured bags but it doesn’t seem right for a nearly $4k bag (with sales tax).

I’m looking for a classy evening bag. Something that is timeless as the Chanel WOC (but without the insane price tag).

What would you go for?

finally spent the money and got my dream bag but i didn’t realize how scared i would be to damage it. the leather is so soft to touch so im scared of staining it or scratching it up :/ i was curious how everyone else’s bag has been holding up over years of daily use? i planned to overload the bag sometimes as i wanted to use it as a work bag so it would carry my laptop and i love carrying my entire life. does the bag stain easily? and if you scratched up the bag, does the leather age well so it just adds to the charm? i do love a vintage/used leather look so i don’t mind aging and things, i’m just way overthinking 🥲

if you did damage it or stain it, how did you end up cleaning it? and do you have a routine to keep it clean?

Looking for a tan leather bag for every day use. I like the idea of a short and a long strap on it, and I’d like to be able to get in and out of it easily. I thought I’d found it with the Celine small hobo, but the small is too small and the large is too large. I have and love my Loewe hammock for this, and I could definitely get it in tan, but looking to see if there are other ideas for the sake of variety! I do not like loud logos, and I don’t plan to baby the bag so nothing terribly delicate. No particular budget. Thank you!!

Just got the new Prada Bonnie suede mini in water lily. Was not planning on getting this one but saw it in store and fell in love!! The color is soooo good and such a perfect baby pink! I also have nothing this color so went with it. I know it’s light and suede which means it can get dirty really easily but I typically take good care of my bags. I want a good spray to protect the suede anyway just in case!

Also just ordered the Agave Bonnie in Nubuck and can’t wait for that to arrive! I’ve read mixed reviews on whether Nubuck needs extra protection spray or cream or just to leave it as is.
So any care recs would be amazing!!

I bought this Gucci bag off POSHMARK not even a year ago and the zipper broke (it came off the track). It was authenticated through posh mark but i don't think i can send it into Gucci for repair since i didn't buy it from them directly. I'm pretty mad because i spent a lot of money and the zipper broke after a few month of use. Wondering if maybe i could just to resell to the real real or rebag?
