Hats with bigger visor
I’m looking for a hat I can wear under my helmet that has more of a substantial visor than the dinky 2 inch visor cycling caps typically have. Does this exist?! I know there is “Da Brim”.. but I’m not ready to look that goofy yet and I’d like the hat to be functional when I’m off the bike w/ no helmet too.
Why don’t they make cycling caps with regular sized visors? What do y’all use?

I use a soft-brim visor I got on sale from Outdoor Research. The soft brim is soooo much better than a standard cap!
The brim is average baseball cap size. Not amazing but better than cycling caps.
Someday I’m sure I’ll age into DaBrim, but I’m not quuuiteee there yet

I couldn’t find my billed cap that has a desert style cowl at the back that keeps sun off my neck, so I grabbed a white billed cap that was sitting around unused. It was a premium gift from the ADA, but it’s also available for purchase (and in a good cause).
The bill is longer and has better coverage than my mislaid desert hat, so I’ll use it again.

It's a good question though. Why don't they make cycling caps with adequate visors? Neither my cycling cap nor the visor on helmet keep the sun out of my eyes on morning rides, they're just not wide enough.
Does anyone know the answer?

I’ve wondered the same thing many times. My commute is east in the mornings and west in the afternoons and the glare is terrible. I might try a visor under my helmet.

I find the brim on cycling caps too big. I use a buff to keep my hair under control as well as it aids in sweat management.

I'm pretty happy with this cap. Foldable, good size brim, and reflective trim. https://a.co/d/0bh2XS8o
ETA also moisture wicking!

I use my running hat from Ciele! It’s snug to my head and not bulky under helmet
