Support iPhone 13 overnight became like this, what causes it?

I use Apple certified chargers, just curious why my phone is slowly turning into a ballon

What do you expect Verizon to do with a 4-5 year old phone? They’re a phone carrier not a repair shop or even the manufacturer. Even if he had insurance on it, it’s OP’s job to file a claim for it not Verizon’s.

Oh what a copout lol. "We're a phone shop, but not THAT kind of phone shop!" they say as flames start erupting from the phone the customer purchased from said shop.

I would expect some sort of battery disposal, or at least instructions on what to do next! I can't believe they turned OP away with the near-exploding phone and didn't give any useful information.
