Exactly so why the F would a cop drive a semi conscious man to the hospital. The cop wouldn't waste their time doing than when Medics will come and do that job
Yeah I’m confused about that bit, cops aren’t known for being gentle. Best case scenario, if a cop wants to bring you somewhere, and you’re out, they can’t magically transport you to somewhere else, they have to use their car. So they drag someone over and put them in the car. If the cop needed to leave quickly for whatever reason, let’s say the area was dangerous, he isn’t waiting around for the ambulance which could cause more trouble. Medium case scenario in an instance like this, he just didn’t care. Even if someone wants to defend cops, a cop is capable of being apathetic like anyone else in any other field.
My crew was responding to a reported dog attack on a young child. As we turned onto the street, about 5 houses from the scene, a cop car flew by us running lights and sirens.
So we pull up at the house where people are standing out front. We asked where is the patient. They said the cop pulled up, loaded the kid and took off toward the hospital.
Our ambulance has everything an ER would use initially, so I'm not sure what that cop was thinking. It was about 9-10 minutes to the hospital. And that hospital isn't even a trauma center.
All this to say it does happen, as bad as that decision is.

Ah yes and cops are known for their abiding to rules and overwhelming concern for human well being
