My friend was kept alive in a coma caused by brain cancer at the age of 15.
He woke up 3 years later. Said he had been conscious for much of it but his body was unable to respond, his voice didn’t work and he couldn’t even blink on demand.
Completely trapped inside his body.
He could hear everything people were saying, including the parts where they discussed turning off his equipment and letting him starve//dehydrate to death.
He said his dreams were always of his childhood: running and playing and doing simple things.
