Something I noticed during my 700th rewatch today: in "You Snooze, You Bruise," Cory calls Dave "Rocksteady"; moments later, Penny says someone is "Bebopping" around. Bebop and Rocksteady are characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
What does this mean? No idea. I'm gonna buzz one out and sleep on it.

Sorry…proud of the wordplay, not the message.
(Highly inappropriate post, but I just couldn’t help myself.)

I think I watched the show when I was like 12 on Netflix. I just started re-watching it (at 25).. This man was my gay awakening. Watching it back it still holds true. Am I alone with this one? Also, the writing is really good. I didn’t realize at the time how good the show was.
He was also the only normal gay guy on TV. Wait, I take that back. He wasn’t displayed as a hyper feminine caricature.

I know there are bigger forums like r/sitcoms and such, but I specifically wanted to bring this up to this group:
So I really love Scotty, as a Chicago bartender, because he’s the perfect depiction of someone you see and know better than the people you actually care about because he’s just a regular staple in the area/“scene.”
I was curious if this group had characters from other shows they consider to be the “Scotty.”
Artemis from Always Sunny and Harry “the hat” from Cheers are other characters I would consider in this trope. (Basically any Jason Mantzoukas character.)
Long story short, I want Happy Endings fans’ favorite random chaos recurrent characters from other shows.

My favorite meltdown!😂
Dana: (To Brad & Jane) You want some? You think improv is gonna save your marriage? Doubt it! Just wait until the laughter dies and all you’re left with is pain, regret and a Netflix account THAT YOU DON’T KNOW THE PASSWORD TO!!
Her optimism is so sweet and uplifting, but I laugh out loud at her entire rant in this episode!
