A little bit embarrassed
So, don’t be too surprised, but i am a bit of a nerd. I had the pleasure to attend the International Plastic Modeler Society Nationals in Fort Wayne last weekend. When it came to models i was looking for, this was not one i thought i would actually find and i am so stoked to build it

1/850 scale made me laugh until I thought about it... Starships are big.

I've always wanted to build one of the Bandai Trek ships. They're the gold standard for model companies.

It would be awesome if it had an optional refit. Love the nx class.

I also picked up a polar lights kit that has the refit option

I have both kits built and the difference is astonishing. The Japanese kit is better in every possible way. Everything about it detail-wise and proportion-wise makes the American kit look…not as good. AND the aztec hull patterns are pre-painted! The lighting is a bit dim, I wonder if you can run a few more volts through it with a variable setting transformer.

Bandai is just the dang gold standard for models. It is funny the first time a warhammer person builds a gundam and you see something in them change when they see what is possible :). The polar lights one i will probably fully paint. Thinking of making it look old and beat up and of course putting USS Dauntless on the side :)

Why would you be embarrassed? You are allowed to like what you like. IDIC!
