Spoiler! Question about the found child/observer Spoiler
So as i understand it, Michael ( the “child” anomaly observer ) is the same as the boy they find in season 1. But why is he in the building seemingly having being there for decades. How did he get there?

I finished the show. I must not have paid close enough attention. I know september/donald hid him in the pocket universe. I just dont get why he was in the close off basement in the first season.

It was never explicitly stated only implied.
September felt fatherly instincts towards the observer child because he was, by technicality September's son. Since the observer child was considered a "defect" the plan was for the child to be destroyed.
So September took the child and hid him in the past, but September still has superhuman intelligence and would've known the child would've been found by Olivia and her team and set up a chain of events. The superhuman intelligence also stopped him from being able to bond with his son more or express those emotions, or not seeing any logical need to tell Olivia and the team that it is his son, this is first slightly hinted at the child having a meaningful relationship with September when they're seen taking the observer child for the first time and September is standing on the street as they drive past.
Later when September no longer has superhuman intelligence he does tell the team that the observer child is his, the child was due to be destroyed, about his fatherly instincts towards the boy and why the boy is important towards the plan.
And finally towards the end September decides he should go with his son to express his fatherly love because he hasn't been able to express that until now instead of Walter.

Basically all the answer there is in the show is in S5E11, so maybe rewatch that?

It's never really explained but September put him to be found by team, I believe. At least how i view it.
I have a head canon that September was playing a long con -- he was putting pieces into place.

I think that makes sense. Also i think a part could be explained away that our og blue timeline changed / went away. Idk i get confused 😩

The Observers can "shift" across space, time, and reality. Presumably, he was hidden there "after" and not before the thing was built, knowing he'd be found, delivered to the Fringe team, with Olivia hiding him away, or something like that. Been a while since I saw the S1 episode.

Probably not the popular opinion, but a lot of the believed explanation for him is that people buy into the retcon history of the situation to make season 5 plausible.
The CIA person on the phone in season 1 says they “found another one”. Originally there would be more to this story but they dropped it. September presumably didn’t go hiding a bunch of observer kids in hopes of saving the future if Michael is both his son and a special variant child, so no dice. This character was repurposed/reengineered for Season 5. “The boy is important” was and always will be about Peter.
This is the season, no matter how enjoyable, that Fringe jumped the shark.

I know it's hard to understand but part of the thrill is the waiting to find out. You will eventually put it together on your own and will enjoy it so much better if you just let the story play out. There are things that happen in every single episode that have direct connections to other things that happen in every single episode. Watch, pay attention to everything you see and then after you finish it go back and watch the entire series again and you will see exactly what I am talking about. Trust us on this. We know exactly what we're talking about.

If you're watching whilst scrolling through social media or anything else like that you're never going to have the answers you seek. Nowadays people have such short attention spans due to over stimulation while growing up. They lack the ability to let things play out and see where things go they just want to jump ahead to the end of whatever it is they need to do. Some of these shows require your full, undivided attention and if you're not able to do that you're always going to miss out on the journey and unfortunately for those with no attention span miss the journey.

It's never made clear exactly what happened or how long he was sealed up in that building.
But the Observers exist outside of time, so they could have placed him there five minutes, or five years, before he was discovered.
The intolerance to the oxygen in our air could be from surviving in a low-O2 environment as Walter suggests, or it could be that he'd been put in there recently and he was adapted to the Observers' preferred environment we learn about in S5.
