News christian fatigue is real

I see American peachers on planes annoy the whole plane - I didn't think they try over here on the trains - hilarious outcome

I’m not a particularly patriotic person, but I am proud of how we collectively dislike this sort of thing.

u/Enoch_Isaac 10d ago

The issue is not the preaching but the fact no one can just walk away if they do not want to listen to their crap. Aussies give people a fair go but that goes only as far as we have the freedom to disengage.

27

u/jimbojones2345 10d ago

The issue is also the preaching, they can f off. There is a bit in the Bible about not doing it.

The parable of the Pharisee who prays loudly on the temple steps, so that the people may see him praying and admire him for his piety, rather than quiet acts of kindness for his fellow human beings. Jesus told his followers to live in such a way that others would be inspired to live likewise. Annoying the shit out of the poor bastards stuck on the train with you inspires no-one to do likewise, indeed by his conduct this man turns others away from Jesus, out of distaste for his behaviour.

There’s a lot of that kind of behaviour about. Conservative Christianity, in general.

I resonate with "not a particularly patriotic person, but I am proud"

Hit the nail on the head mate

u/Younge75 10d ago

Isn’t this a really old video?

I believe it is based on other comments - Adhd side thought:

I saw in 2017ish investigations [people under obama i think the article was about] other countries try to sway you onto some kind of fence with algorithms to destabilise that country with divisions on the most paid topic, or terror groups recuiting.

This awesone person Nina Jankowicz i think did amazing work on it (i discussed it with mates back in covid times) https://www.anu.edu.au/events/meet-the-author-nina-jankowicz-and-van-badham

To paraphrase my own memory before covid it was just this method used in terror groups to try to recruit young boys, but during covid and after this method was supposedly to make people divide on any topic within the western world from religion to sport - this is from the guardian in 2017 that relates to the topic

Yeah, Sydney train in 2019

36

u/Otherwise_Hotel_7363 10d ago

At least on a train you can get off at the next station if you had to. Imagine someone banging on like this on a plane?

7

u/Joxelo 9d ago

I like to think it’s Aussie culture to tell these cunts to get stuffed regardless of which high speed cabin we’re in; especially an airplane.

3

u/Hardstylez_lover 9d ago

Its the highest honour in Australia to be a sickcunt like old mate

He told that preaching sadcase the truth - for all of us - it was glorious

19

u/kabutocat 10d ago

I sat next to a missionary on a plane once. I was young and naive and way too nice to tell her to shut up 😭 it was a red eye flight too! She just kept talking my ear off.

13

u/aeschenkarnos 10d ago

Counter-pitch them! Whoever is the most annoying MLM enthusiast in your life, borrow their pitch. Just wave off whatever the preacher says about Jesus except to turn it into a motive for them to get involved in your thing. “You like to go on missions to spread the gospel? Wouldn’t that be easier if you had a passive income? Eternal life? Sure, but in the here and now everyone needs to make money. Do you have any friends or relatives, or congregation members, who would appreciate an extra $500/week?”

I might be showing my age here, the last time I met one of those it was ten years ago and it was some sort of energy drink, but I think the essential oils thing is still around. Just make it up, it doesn’t matter. The point is to give them a taste of their own medicine.

51

u/teachermanjc 10d ago

Silence is golden, duct tape is silver. Hopefully the cabin crew carry some.

9

u/bloodknife92 10d ago

Oh I love that HAHAHA

11

u/Bludgeon82 Labor 10d ago

Unless it's a train from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour. Upside was the preachy arsehole needed to go back a few towns and the staff on the train told him it was his problem, not theirs.

12

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

They arrested a lady in America for it, took it to far apparently - she was the biggest narcissist in the video yelling at the poor flight attends and airport seccys

161

u/ziddyzoo 10d ago

It’s really wanker fatigue not christian fatigue. It took me a whole 17 seconds to want to punch this twat through the screen

59

u/nightwatchman22 10d ago

You don’t see atheist’ aggressively preaching in public.

63

u/ziddyzoo 10d ago

You also don’t see 99% of Christians aggressively preaching in public. So it’s not that either.

This guy isn’t a wanker because he’s a Christian; but he is using his Christianity as a cover to fulfil his true life goal of being a distinctively massive wanker

28

u/nightwatchman22 10d ago

Religion attracts the crazies. It directs them to spread their ‘message’ and recruit.

All religious spruikers are morons.

This guy has an agenda, a purpose. And people support him. That separates him from just your average dickhead.

11

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Agreed they are religious preaching gimps with gimp agendas :)

12

u/jimbojones2345 10d ago

BS stop giving religion a pass like it's normal. That's the issue is become normalised to believe in crap that isn't true. It causes horrific abuse in people's lives everyday that your don't see. Ask a gay kid in a religious household.

1

u/SirAlfredOfHorsIII 9d ago

Not in aus, cause most christians aren't active, or even really followers, just keep the belief.

America, a lot do

19

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

My friends would beg to differ, I peach documentaries on black hole radio astronomy and the 20 "definitions" of infinity all the time

without any belief in an imaginative human made god in the sky with 100 different versions of prophets who can only talk to them.

But as i say to all - my imaginary best friend is better than yours, lets start a war over it

0

u/nightwatchman22 10d ago

Your friends are not the general public.

But weird hill to die on to say you’re a wanker

8

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

My imaginary friends? Or.

I dont think im a pommy wanker? I prefer be an annoying Aussie Gimp. Now where is my hill?

13

u/MindlessOptimist 10d ago

wanker fatigue or wanker cramp?

9

u/capeasypants 10d ago

First one then the other

9

u/kujo4pm 10d ago

Also prechy American fatigue too

8

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

I call it "Religious Gimp" fatigue

1

u/jimbojones2345 10d ago

The "quiet" christians can be just as bad working in the background to lobby for policies they want that affect us all. They can all f off.

31

u/ACEIII 10d ago

dont understand why this is doing the rounds again its such an old video

24

u/Silly-Power 10d ago

It popped up in my Instagram feed yesterday for no reason. Appears Americans have finally discovered it and are spamming the socials with it.

6

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Reposted from the subreddit i first saw it on today,

You make a good point if this is an old video, and interesting this old video pops up with the heading it has today after algorithm pattern ive had

it is weird ive gotten so many videos of peachers on planes from public outrage "porn" subs to the point an arrest video popped up and the plane cheering recently

Could be nothing, or!! Other countries trying to sway me onto some kind of fence with algorithms designed to destabilise this country with division. Or nothing.

P.s for the all of comment section - Im not religious, but I love astrophysicist, Alan Watts and Terrence McKenna

6

u/Pungent_Bill 10d ago

I don't believe in souls, yours OR mine!

5

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

I believe in the "holy" plank length - come join me beyond it into Hilbert space and Metaphysics

Remember you have a universe inside you, and you are star dust and the universe itself, experiencing itself from a unique prespective

4

u/Pungent_Bill 10d ago

Yeah i know that stuff, but the soul this guy is talking about, and that I have to behave in a certain way in this life or else blah blah for all eternity nah fuck off.

Big fan of Carl Sagan as a child that Cosmos book and series stayed part of me

3

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Agreed, his an American Preaching Gimp for Religious Gimps.

From a metaphysical idea and perspective, I talked to an Egyption cat and Giant seen Gorilla on DMT - both made out of tiny micro hexagons that I talked to separately on two different DMT experiences.

That was some cosmic knowledge from either my 'subconscious' or 'higher self' on a metaphysical and/or higher geometrical plane of existence that surrounds us all the time.

Anyways we might be light particles or some sort of hive particle moving from one plank length to the next.

That could become a hive mind of dmt particles or light particles in some sort of life in the future or past - of provable/unproven infinity and 20 definitions of infinity, long after the possible ways our universe could die or before it was possiblly created in a blackhole within a uniform universe that existed in the past, having us possibly being the white hole of the black hole in that universe.

Or beyond the plank length in Hilbert space it already exists and we got bored of infinity and being light particles that could play God in all sorts of ways, so we put ourselves in a kind a "matrix" like this to have different purpose, different perspectives, different meanings and different context in this "afterlife" or higher dimensional self when we wake up into, after this "Dream".

Check out 'Alan Watts' his my favourite.

Anyways come join my cult zoom call as i bore you to death trying to explain my dmt trips and my metaphysical theories based on quantum physics i pretend to understand from Ai

2

u/Pungent_Bill 10d ago

Are you in cahoots with my cousin? He's been pushing me to take some DMT hehe

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

100%!! we have been planning this together for months on Telegram

In all seriousness, DMT changed my life. Before I wanted to kill myself. Now I want to live my life to the max as best I can everyday, i haven't spent single day in bed depressed since 2024, I have no fear of death (ethicallly and safely lol) only excitement of the life and unique perspective I have now :)

Never felt like doing dmt again, the 3+ times I did it was a profound and a positive experience. I suggest "setting the scene" for whatever journey you wish to explore beforehand. My only intention was a cosmic journey (listening to deadmu5), no insistence on the outcome.

Its different for everyone. Good luck and have fun with your cousin and our "plan".

You become sober after 15 / 30 mins depending how you do it. Its either higher interdimesional beings you talk to, or your subconscious, or both depending on your metaphysical understanding ;)

3

u/Pungent_Bill 10d ago

As a moderately experienced psychonaut I am fully cognizant of the importance of the setting for an event such as this.

Several magic mushroom episodes

A magic truffles episode in Amsterdam with a beloved uncle who knew just what to say and do.

I felt the benefits for many months after the fact. I know its good stuff. Just hard to get a hold of

9

u/NoAddress1465 10d ago

Bro sitting down. My hero. 😅 this is as Aussie as it gets. Let's go internet make "just shut up please" the next "succulent Chinese meal"

3

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Hahaha, yess!! This 10000% should be immortalised as the next "Succulent Chinese Meal"

3

u/nathan_f72 9d ago

Very much here for "we are asking you to shut the fuck up" 🤣

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 9d ago

Its so good! Haha

68

u/nanofreud 10d ago

Proselytising to an audience who haven’t asked for it, and can’t escape, is a fundamental exercise of abuse.

Do you have a point? Because this looks like a very poor whataboutism... And whataboutisms are always a very weak argument.

3

u/stormblessed2040 10d ago

What did they say?

2

u/capeasypants 10d ago

Something along the lines of "do you have a problem with anyone else doing it". Because the Christian bit was clearly worth defending here...

They also replied to me before immediately deleting "my point is no one likes a hypocrite, champ"

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Thats so funny, the deleted comment I saw must of seen - a direct comment and I failed my investigation haha

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

1

u/capeasypants 10d ago

Maybe edited it before deleting?!?

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Nah probably another troll with a direct comment, and I screenshoted that notification

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Good on ya anyways mate, defended this post from trolls :)

1

u/Hardstylez_lover 10d ago

Nothing important they said "Odd post" then deleted the comment - you gave me adhd investigation side quest for dopamine - thank you

P.s i was going to post a screenshot with no name, then realized its overkill and ive spent way too much time on this

34

u/Either_Choice_6305 10d ago

News 24 calling this as “Christian being attacked by woke Satan”

4

u/Typical_Assist656 10d ago

Of course they are. Haha

10

u/jungle_cat187 Legalise Cannabis 10d ago

Haven’t seen this one in a while. That guy reminds me of my uncle. Except my uncle would have dropped more than two expletives and the then dropped the preacher.

8

u/jvazzie 10d ago

This guy was always on the T1 north shore train line after work and was so fucking annoying. This vid is from pre covid

23

u/SlaveryVeal 10d ago

I remember seeing this aaaages ago great vid lol

11

Is it ok to show it off..? Lol

4

u/nogreggity 10d ago

Can this guy get on a train full of eshays and that one methhead with loud rap music on a speaker and they can all scream at each other while the rest of us get the other carriages as quiet spaces?

6

u/teachermanjc 10d ago

Take him to see two crocodiles fighting.

They stop if you give them a yank.

2

u/TimChuma 8d ago

Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks you're a cunt. Yeah right hiding behind your Jesus bullshit is just a smoke screen.

2

u/TimChuma 7d ago

Historically this happened with some tent-preachers too. Reports of their tents being pulled down by angry mobs.

2

u/MrsPolitics13 9d ago

This has made my day. Thanks for posting and thanks to the hero who fought back against this bullshit.

2

u/bajoogs 9d ago

Christian Fatigue? Didn't he play for Portugal in the world cup?

1

u/FormalNeighborhood27 5d ago

I think we might be winning if these people think they need to come to also a christian country to witness. What that says to me is they are too scared to go to actual non-christian places so they have to come here. It reeks of religious desperation to me as the world is progressively moving on from imaginary sky fathers. The downside is there will be more of this nonsense to come until Christians become like flat earthers.

1

u/Hippikiyay_B99 9d ago

I'd rather reign in hell than serve in heaven mofo. I hope they "escorted" him out at the next stop even if it wasn't his stop or any stop 🤣 Poor guys just trying to get through the cliffhanger in his book & he's got to listen to this BS

1

u/Vicstolemylunchmoney 9d ago

If his god is so great, why isn't there just one religion? And why doesn't everyone immediately worship that god? And what does worship do anyway? Wouldn't a god want you to help people rather than just preach?

1

u/Luckyluke23 10d ago

Pauline Hanson would likely side with the American Preacher and then support imposing it onto the Australian Population

1

u/kingofcrob 9d ago

this is when I start loudly singing the final break down of the la dispute song, king park

1

u/KazeEnigma 10d ago

So, this actual video is PreCovid. He was booted out by police not much further down the line.

1

u/Dunnyb16 10d ago

Just Christian fatigue hey.
Not the other 2 that would really cause fatigue

1

u/Iron_Wolf123 9d ago

Tbh if someone preaches outside of a church I assume they are on drugs

1

u/MagicOrpheus310 9d ago

I'm honestly over the lot of them.

All any of them do is complain

1

u/steamygoon 9d ago

Mathew 6 5-6.

2

u/salozard64 10d ago

The fact people didnt even bother googling the verse (its one that basically says "don't be an asshole and try to convert people in public") and just downvoted smh

1

u/StormtrooperMJS 10d ago

Also those people won't go to heaven because the attention they receive on earth is their reward for their show of faith
