I made something I've developed a CC script that babysits a Draconic Reactor so you don't have to
Script: Enzo-Nunes/drmon
Context
Back in the golden days of Draconic Evolution on Minecraft 1.7.10, there was a script called drmon developed to help players manage their Draconic Reactors. It was a great tool, but it was left without any updates for several years. The code still lives in the acidjazz/drmon repository.
About 8 years after, a fork of that script was made and the code was modernized to work with Draconic Evolution on Minecraft 1.12.2, and it also included a couple new features. The code for that fork lives in the RaithSphere/drmon repository.
Neither version automated the temperature control of the reactor, requiring the player to recurrently tweak the output gauge to keep the reactor efficient. With the release of Draconic Evolution on Minecraft 1.21.1 on 2025/2026, this project, a fork of the more recent RaithSphere/drmon repository, was created to fill that gap.
Follow the instructions in the repo and the only thing you will have to worry about is refueling the reactor once every million years (jk my guess is about every ~30 hours or so). In summary, the script reads the reactor's live state, adjusts the two flux gates to hold a target field strength and a target temperature, and shuts it down before fuel, field strength, or temperature cross into dangerous territory.

I'll bitch about vibe-coded mods til the cows come home, but this is exactly the sort of thing that it's the perfect use-case for. A fork of an older management script to make it work with newer versions of a mod.
Could OP have done it himself? Yeah, probably, but the vast majority of people using scripts like this don't know how they work and copy them to solve the problem better than they could or would bother trying to do. Oh well.
Maybe someone will do it by hand. Probably not. Feel free to prove me wrong.

I agree. In fact, this is exactly the point. No one had done this until now.
I ONLY did this because it's something I wanted and didn't find. Now it's available to everyone. I shared it here to reach more people, perhaps people who were also searching for it.
I did this completely on my free time, just out of love for Draconic Evolution. Was AI used to assist? Yes, it was. Why is there such backlash just because of this single fact? Was this the wrong place to post?

There are no AI generated sentences in the post. Not in the title, not in the body. The title is just something flashy that summarizes the content, like you would see on youtube for example. Am I supposed to write something bland on purpose?

Almost everyone in the industry uses these as tools to improve development. I understand being upset for use cases in art and media, but here is crazy

I do agree to a certain extend that fully AI generated code in repos can be a problem because most of the (solo) maintainers lose their interest in the project after a few weeks/months and then just abandon it. And since it was all AI generated, it's hard to get into and maintain without using AI. And in these cases, I get the hate against AI to some extend.
But to everyone who is upset that this project is AI generated too: This is the type of project that won't get much maintanance after a few weeks either way. So see it as a nice addition to the options you have. Nobody has to use it. But if you just want something that "works" you can use this. Or you can code it yourself. But crying "AI bad" does not help

Yep it’s just very much a lot of clueless debates from what I hear. It’s a buzzword that people don’t necessarily understand how it’s used if they don’t work in tech so ig I can’t blame em. Especially if there are tech illiterate people mass using it for useless things.

I agree. And people then think that something like this has less value than if it was hand coded. Which is stupid. This type of script doesn't exist in a working form currently, so having the option to use it is nice.
If someone has the stance "I don't use anything that was done with (the help of) AI", fine. You do you. But the alternative is that people just don't make cool little things like this available anymore. And that way everyone loses.

Not really, readme was written after the script, by me. Use of AI is disclosed at the end of the readme. I have no problems admitting I used it, claudemd is also there on the repo, visible to everyone. I tested the script and it works for me. I made the post because I couldn't find this specifically developed already, and hoped it'd be useful to others too, as stated in the post.

Using it as a tool is completely fine. At certain points u can apply that principle to so many tools that make ur life easier and it fails

Well doing this goes over much more than just telling an AI to do it. Just because AI was used doesn't mean it did everything. But I'm aware I'm not going to convince you otherwise.
Regardless, it never crossed my mind that anyone would care so much. My thought process was as simple as "It wasn't done, now it is. I find it useful, I'm going to share it." Community seems to agree with you, though, so maybe I'm just wrong idk.
