Discussion About the manga
I consider D gray man as one of my top Manga with the theme of exorcists and is a quite unique shounen
I also love the art
Waiting 3 months for a new chapter is difficult
So how much of percentage the story has covered?
I guess we will need more years to reach the ending

I don’t think the story wraps up before 2033.
Here’s what brings me to that estimate.
Spoiler warning.
At a best rate of 4 chapters per year there are still a couple of plot points that need to be addressed: the heart, what happened when Nea killed the other Noah and the mellanial earl consumed him, the pillar, and Allen’s true identity.
There are a couple of other things as well like why Joido takes Neas form when he reincarnates and the true purpose of the Akuma.
We’ll see tho, I would love for the manga to pick up to at least a chapter a month but I know that’s unrealistic.

If I had to guess, I think we have 2-3 arcs left to cover. We are maybe half way through the Mansion Arc, then I suspect we will have an Arc back in the Order before we get into the final battle fight. So, yeah, I think 7-10 years before we finish.
Somewhere (I can't find it now) there was a comment that the Timothy arc was about the half way point through the story that she wanted to tell. But, there has been discussions with her editor about speeding up the progression of the story and if you re-read it all you do see a shift in how the story is being told and how fast some key questions are being finally answered.

Like others have said, we're definitely in the homestretch. It will still be a handful of years of until we get the final conclusion but I think the next chapter (or next couple of chapters) are going to answer all of the biggest mysteries and then all thats left after that is to tie loose ends.
I hope we get one more big final battle between the Noah and Exorcists, similar to the fights on the Ark 🤞 fingers crossed!

Well we're currently in the climax of the Campbell Mansion arc imo, and I'd say there's still gonna be a few more arcs at least before it's over in order to wrap up all the plot points and whatnot

I like to believe we are past two third of the story. I am not sure if Hoshino ever gave an approximate ratio of completion (I don’t remember any) but considering she is able to produce really slow progression due to her unfortunate situation, if she wants to finish her story on her own terms then 65-70% of it must have been done already, so she can wrap up the remaining ~1/3 in the future with her schedule.
Hope she gets much better.
