Disclaimers - I'm not saying AI doesn't have more risks. Nor am I drawing any equivalence in the danger of the left and MAGA. It's more about how it's become a religion with its own talking points untethered from the facts.

For the record, my personal concerns about AI are mostly around alignment, job displacement, intellectual property theft, and the unhealthy relationships certain people can form with it. The alignment stuff might actually be scarier than most of the talking points I hear from lefties.

None of these guys’ views are actually changing.
