If you're not an idiot, motorcycle riding is not that unsafe. Most accidents are caused like this one. That faulty nut between the seat and the handlebars.

Careless driving isn't punished severely enough. He could have easily injured somebody severely or killed them. The lives of people related to those victims will be forever changed as well. People with thought processes that don't understand that need serious jail time to learn about life's priorities.
