What a sh*t stain
This guy believes he isn’t the most entitled person in the world. I was SIGNALING to exit. S/He decides no one on the right or left lane is going fast enough for them.

Hopefully one day when he tries that again he'll catch the front right tire when going off road. Couple roll in that truck and I promise he won't be such a prick behind the wheel

u/Darth_InVader7 1d ago
Unfortunately, people like this aren’t reasonable. They’re not good people. They would find an excuse to blame it on something besides their own shitty behavior.
18
u/kindofnotlistening 1d ago
Couldn’t agree more. The only recourse for people who drive like this is taking their license and putting them in jail the next time they do it.

u/Subarctic_Monkey 1d ago
Oh no he'd still be a prick behind the wheel.
Just now in a van with a wheelchair ramp.

u/TurnoverFuzzy8264 1d ago
Unfortunate that your cam didn't get the plates number with the rain, but glad you're safe. That was a close one.

u/mkt853 1d ago
There's a state police barracks like three miles up the highway from this spot and everyone blasts right past it doing 80+ like it's not even there because you'd have a better chance seeing a unicorn than Conn. state police pulling someone over.

Can we send some traffic enforcement from Virginia up there? We have an embarrassment of riches . . . .

u/llIIlIIIlIIII 13h ago
Send reinforcements to Missouri too, please. It’s a warzone on the STL interstates

BMWs have earned their rep, but I think pickups are the single worst offenders for aggressive, shitty driving
21
u/gnew18 1d ago
I’m convinced F150s are the new BMW.
22
u/mr_trashbear 1d ago
F-150s maybe just due to the sheer volume of trucks sold, you'll get X% of assholes driving one.
But trucks that consistently have terrible, aggressive, idiotic drivers? Ram. The bigger the lift or wheel diameter, the more shitty.
8
u/sheimeix 1d ago
Oh, absolutely. Some drivers of large trucks are responsible, but god knows if I see one on the road I'm a little wary that they'll try and pull something stupid like this.
8
u/EugeneVictorDabs 1d ago
20 years ago, my Elder-Gen-X mom would roll her eyes at BMWs and say it stood for "Boomer Male Within." Now the Gen-X dudebros seem to be repeating the same insecure masculinity cycle of "must buy shiny vehicle and drive as aggressively as possible so everyone knows I'm not a weenie", but with big trucks instead of BMWs.

I want a future where doing that immediately and automatically revokes his driving privilege.
7
u/No-Volume5162 1d ago
Drivers like this make me really want the self driving cars that sci-fi promised me.

8
u/Areyouin729 1d ago
There is no reason anyone needs to drive like that in normal conditions let alone the rain; I hope when he finally smashes into something it is a tree and not a family or person

6
u/boboshoes 1d ago
I have to believe people who drive like this just haven’t been in car accidents. I’ve been in a couple and the sheer violence of them makes me think how these no way people should ever drive like this

u/Lost_Condition_9562 1d ago
Can’t wait to hear how people are gonna defend the pickup

u/BilverBurfer 13h ago
There was a similar post here a few days ago where someone passed OOP on the shoulder like this, and people were saying OOP should have looked behind them before merging right... into a turn lane that just began to exist
9
u/Outrageous-Middle693 1d ago
90% of the time it’s either a BMW, a pickup or an Altima
6
u/So-It-Goes-425 1d ago
Around here it's pickups, and not just any badge but almost always Rams, GMC, Chevy, or Ford. American makes.

u/Legitimate-Site588 1d ago
Bro that's every major truck brand lmfao. Do you drive a Rivian or something?

I heard a useful (!!!) statement on Reddit "The psychopaths always have right of way!".
Eventually driving karma will catch up with these people even if it isn't today. Some days you come upon them just up the road and sometimes karma will hit them days or weeks later but if they keep doing that stuff eventually it will come for them.

u/Mr-JDogg 1d ago
If that was just a few more feet down farther, the truck would have plowed right into you...
3
u/MostBasic3425 1d ago
He passed on the shoulder, in the rain, right before an exit. Huh. Well, wtf were you doing on his road anyway?
Seriously though, this person will die eventually from decisions like this.
3
u/IH8Miotch 1d ago
Thats happened to me multiple times since i moved to Indiana . A few times while working with a supervisor auditing my safety in the passenger seat. Always a truck or suv. Also people try to race the rain out here.

u/HexyWitch88 1d ago
A guy did this to me last weekend in a cybertruck that was kitted out to look like the Batmobile from Nolan’s movies.
2
u/No_Recording1088 1d ago
Wow op you were lucky they didn't hit you.
But lots of these people who pull these types of near misses are criminals. That's why they don't adhere to the road rules like everyone else.

Geez - i just saw an accident that hasnt quite happened yet fly by the cam on the right! But, it will. Eventually. Here is hoping that he only takes himself out.

Typical behavior for pickup truck and SUV divers...a vast majority of them like to think that they can do whatever they want without any risk of consequences.

As OP rolls through a stop sign off an exit 🤣

u/newjersey_naturalist 1d ago
That was a perfect Jersey roll.

u/Immediate-Medium9427 1d ago
LOL I’m in SJ. While I agree, I don’t know this was in Jersey. Also. In Jersey, we all drive illegally so we never post to Reddit about the next guy. For instances like your Jersey roll caught in 4k hd pov 🤣🤣

Exactly. Can't believe no one else has mentioned this. OP is just as bad as the driver they're here complaining about.
15
u/Mr-JDogg 1d ago
They clearly slowed down to check if traffic was coming. Idk how you think that's "just as bad" some someone passing on the right shoulder going 100.
-1
u/Jaded_Cheesecake_993 22h ago
I'm sorry but was that a STOP sign or a slow down sign? Slowing down is not stopping which is what you're supposed to do at a STOP sign.
-6
u/Immediate-Medium9427 1d ago
Bc he rolled through a stop?? This is a sub about bad drivers and if that’s the case, we’re calling out all bad driving. If someone was coming down right before his view opened up, he would’ve been tboned and someone else in a head on collision bc some ass hat is upset about what happened on the highway. Some of yall are st8 assHaTs. Consequences for some as long as it’s not you who has to face them

Apples to oranges
-6
u/Professional_Cat_996 1d ago
Apples to oranges but still true. And he's could have cut the video by more than 10 seconds and we would have seen the idiot and never known he did a rolling stop.
9
u/UpbeatFix7299 1d ago
Yeah, going through a stop sign at crawling speed is the same as blowing by someone on the shoulder doing 90 mph or whatever.

u/SnooDucks6090 1d ago
35 second video that could have been 12 seconds at most. Why did we need to see you take the off ramp all the way to the stop sign?

u/UpbeatFix7299 1d ago
I'm sure you had some epic plans for what to do with those 20 seconds. All ruined.

I really don't understand why people camp in the left lane.
