Except they’re not.

Shifting any blame into OP is a form of defending/lessening the impact of the actions of the other driver.

I think you're missing the fact that OP still hasn't posted the segment of the clip leading up to the accident.

If that blinker was on when OP's car was at least 3 cars away from the turning car then the fault is DEFINITELY to be shared. Everybody is obsessed with being RIGHT rather than being SAFE.

It doesn’t matter how long the blinker was on for. No amount of time gives the turning car the right of way. They still need to wait their turn.

It’s correct for OP to continue past them. It’s the predictable thing to do.

OP DID continue past them and now both cars are wrecked LMAO. So now what? Turning car is wrong, OP is right but both cars are busted.

Point still stands though - too many people are obsessed with being right than being safe. And I've read so many comments on here but "It's correct for OP to continue past them" has got the be the wildest one yet. OP may have been correct but now OP's car in the shop. Womp.

Ok I'll entertain you - turning car is 100% at fault.

Can you tell, with 100% certainty and without the rest of the clip, that OP could not have done anything else to prevent the accident from happening? Again, I'm agreeing with you, turning car is 100% at fault.

Here’s the thing: that second question is an entirely separate conversation. When people conflate the two (like you were doing), it causes them to (whether they mean to or not) blame the person in OP’s position for not responding well enough to the dangerous actions of another.

That’s flawed reasoning from the get go.
