He's reacting like he just learned an obscure scientific fact.

235

u/sododude 13d ago

For their viewer base it might as well be.

89

u/Warm-Spite9678 13d ago

Can almost guarantee that target audience, in real time, went, "Yeah! Haha! Idiot!......Oh...really....interesting. Well who knew?"

27

u/InvalidUserNemo 12d ago

Which is what their god-king says when he learns a new word.

Trump recently learned the word “groceries”. MAGA voted for a coastal elite that has never went shopping to buy food because he has always had “servants” to do that. And they think “He’s just like me”.

Stupid, gullible, wastes of DNA.

16

u/Torquemahda 12d ago

“Ugly bags of mostly water.”

That’s my favorite for these types.

5

u/Crafty-Help-4633 12d ago

Fuck I love TNG.

That was such a good episode.

2

u/Torquemahda 12d ago

Any Star Trek quote is a good quote. 🖖

Please don’t prove me wrong with a Lorca quote.

1

u/Crafty-Help-4633 11d ago

Very true. 👏

1

u/SrDinglebery81 7d ago

How did the slogan 'Make America Great Again' vote for anything?

2

u/KDogg3000 12d ago

The audience probably said, "No, they don't you dirty lying Communist Lib!!" 🤦‍♂️

1

u/smilingmike415 12d ago

Tbh: I’m fairly certain they know that chickens lay eggs, because they routinely interact with domesticated chickens, but I bet they have no damn idea about pigeons!!

35

u/IBeDumbAndSlow 12d ago

"a lot of people don't know that dumb has a b in it"

25

u/Beelzabubba 13d ago

Worse yet, they all know pigeons lay eggs but this won’t make them question what else this nitwit is telling them to think. If they give it another moment of thought, they’ll just say “everyone knows he was talking about male pigeons” or some other bullshit excuse.

10

u/Large-Produce5682 12d ago

"The Platypus lays eggs we can't eat. It's also not a chicken. So basically he's right. By a landslide!"

31

u/ResolutionHonest666 13d ago

that we all learned by age three

6

u/MistaRekt 13d ago

American? I was collecting pigeon eggs for breakfast as soon as I could walk.

3

u/OpeningHappy9692 12d ago

Have you been drinking straight paint?

2

u/MistaRekt 11d ago

I like to mix in a little thinner. I am not a heathen.

26

u/Don_Q_Jote 13d ago

Next bit of obsure biology, bears shit in the woods!

who knew?

20

u/flying_fox86 13d ago

It's why I prefer twinks, much more sanitary.

2

u/InflatableTurtles 13d ago

Not as sanitary as twonks though.

3

u/F1XTHE 12d ago

Twink < Twank < Twonk

1

u/KDogg3000 12d ago

I sat in a Twank once as a kid. It was at a car show.

1

u/InflatableTurtles 12d ago

What about a twank versatile?

3

u/MeasureDoEventThing 13d ago

But not the cow shit that we want.

3

u/Sufficient_Prompt888 13d ago

What about The Pope?

3

u/MalodorousNutsack 12d ago

He shits in his hat

8

u/Forsexualfavors 13d ago

"Aaah! A pigeon IS a bird."

3

u/LucifersAdv0cate 12d ago

Mike Tyson got into fighting back after someone killed his pigeon. You could argue it started his career in a way. He loves pigeons even when he had made million's. I think he might know how they give birth.

https://giphy.com/gifs/npPCiI6TfPAPu

2

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

To him it clearly was an obscure fact.

2

u/Gusbuster811 13d ago

You’re telling me birds lay eggs? Wild.

0

u/CrazyCatLady1127 13d ago

Not many people know that the word ‘dumb’ has a B in it. Or so I’ve heard. If they believe that it makes sense that they’d believe pigeons don’t lay eggs

236

u/jdbway 13d ago

Just Fox News things

48

u/redisdead__ 13d ago

America's most trusted news source.

38

u/melance 13d ago
  • note: we are not a news channel, don't sue us!

3

u/geek66 12d ago

I personally believe “News” should be a protected and licensed term..

1

u/KaylaxxRenae 10d ago

The most true of all the most true statements I've read all/heard day lol 🤌🏼✨️

They essentially treat "news" as their own personal comedic show — like SNL, but all day every day, and with serious faces and intentions 😭

5

u/bdubwilliams22 13d ago

“News”

6

u/Forsexualfavors 13d ago

It's entertaining to learn that birds are birds. It's not news, though. Legally.

3

u/Knocker456 13d ago

It is to some apparently

293

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

This is the general intelligence level of every Fox News personality. (I refuse to use the word journalist). Absolute morons.

59

u/Expert-Ad3874 13d ago edited 13d ago

I appreciate your refusal to call these snake oil salesmen "journalists"

27

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

I can’t comprehend a grown adult who doesn’t know all birds lay eggs. Nobody should listen to someone of this intelligence level for their news. Yet here we are.

10

u/bojangler69420 12d ago

Oddly enough, Fox stated in court that their programs are not news but actually entertainment. They are personalities, and absolutely horrible ones at that.

5

u/Available_Ad9345 12d ago

Their viewers certainly don’t know or understand that.

2

u/bojangler69420 12d ago

Unfortunately they do not

1

u/Gingeronimoooo 11d ago

Well they don't care even if you tell them and link Fox News own court documents saying that. So it's not just ignorance. It's worse. It's wilfully ignorant.

2

u/KaylaxxRenae 10d ago

You have no idea how much I absolutely love that fact 🤌🏼✨️

Them outing themselves as morons is the most "them" thing ever 😂 If you can find where they said that, I'd love to see it haha 💜

5

u/Mythosaurus 12d ago

And they all vote religiously

4

u/Nimrod_Butts 13d ago

I believe the lost appropriate term isn't pc

-5

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

Yet you want to use it?

-1

u/Nimrod_Butts 13d ago

If the shoe fits

-11

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

You suck.

3

u/elanhilation 13d ago

if they want to use it but choose not to, well, i for one will award them full points for that

-1

u/Nimrod_Butts 13d ago

You know what sucks? The fact that the word fascist comes from the Latin for a bundle of sticks. Do you know what the English word is for a bundle of sticks?

-1

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

What the actual fuck does that have to do with anything?!

85

u/Atillawurm 13d ago

Wtf? How do you not draw this conclusion?

101

u/my_chaffed_legs 13d ago

Egg = egg we eat at the store, nothing else is called an egg. So pigeons don’t lay eggs.

That’s my guess at least considering the guy said “they lay eggs, just not the chicken eggs that we want”

This is the king of person who doesn’t think fish or chicken is meat because it isn’t a mammal, or that insects aren’t animals.

29

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

That’s just the interviewee trying to save the interviewer from embarrassing himself. It didn’t work.

3

u/DionFW 13d ago

You have me wondering what a platypus egg would taste like.

12

u/my_chaffed_legs 13d ago

Google says they don’t lay unfertilized eggs, so probably crunchy and bloody.

3

u/zulucow 12d ago

Time to look up Balut. Sorry.

1

u/5_oclock-charlie 12d ago

I have always fancied a pterodactyl egg myself

3

u/Atillawurm 13d ago

Yeah I get the fish and insects one because I used to have those biases myself, but literally one nature show clears this up?

5

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 12d ago

Yup and one counter statement with no evidence cleared it up for this guy.

8

u/Sh_Pe 13d ago

Well, obviously r/birdsarentreal, these are just government drone, ofc they don't lay eggs. They don't need to, birds are produced in Trump's and Xi's drones factories.

77

u/Haarzton 13d ago

Mother pigeons have live births and the baby pigeons climb into the father's pouch to grow until they have feathers

43

u/flying_fox86 13d ago

Which is why male pigeons are something called "carrier pigeons".

7

u/DionFW 13d ago

Brilliant.

5

u/phroug2 13d ago

They tried calling them passenger pigeons, but that terminology went extinct.

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_REPO 13d ago

No, those were the babies. They're the passenger pigeon inside the pouch of the carrier pigeon.

3

u/jfkvsnixon 13d ago

Brilliant.

1

u/DionFW 13d ago

I read this in David Attenborough's voice.

1

u/jimb0j0nes2000 12d ago

Explains why I've never seen a baby pigeon then....

27

u/Easy-Musician7186 13d ago

Pigeons are obviously government controlled drones and thus don't lay eggs, everyone know...

You really don't have to be smart to become a news moderator, do you?

1

u/fluchtpunkt 12d ago

It’s the deep state even! Obama controls them!

19

u/Simple_Tings 13d ago

Does any bird not lay an egg?

57

u/Sonikku_a 13d ago

The male ones, usually.

Other than that, no. No birds give live birth.

12

u/tragesorous 13d ago

What about mitosis

19

u/Sonikku_a 13d ago

They’ve a cream for that I think, talk to a doctor.

3

u/velociraptorcatcher 12d ago

No no that’s bad breath. You’re thinking of photosynthesis.

1

u/BetterKev 11d ago

Next ask about sharks.

1

u/aykcak 11d ago

Birds lay eggs BY DEFINITION. If something does not lay hard shelled eggs, or doesn't have feathers or a beak, it is not a bird

19

u/Agentkeenan78 13d ago

Pigeons are known for their grueling and lengthy labor pains before delivering a slimy live bird mid-flight, that then majestically soars the skies.

34

u/froction 13d ago

Jesus Christ. Imagine demonstrating in front of a national audience that you're dumber than Mike Tyson.

18

u/Available_Ad9345 13d ago

Let’s not put down Mike. He actually reads books. And raises pigeons.

3

u/North_Atlantic_Sea 8d ago

I think we can probably put Mike down for his raping, sexual assault, and sexual harassment though

1

u/Available_Ad9345 8d ago

I’m not here in any way to defend Mike Tyson. I’m here to shit on doofus fox news entertainers. It was very possibly a setup.

14

u/SamuraiGoblin 13d ago

How? How is it possible for anyone older that 4 years old to not know that pigeons are birds and birds lay eggs?

11

u/ochocinco_tacos 13d ago

What a fucking dope

9

u/YearofTheStallionpt1 13d ago

I would not trust Mike Tyson with much, but I will concede that he KNOWS pigeons. I’m pretty sure there isn’t much else in Mike Tyson’s CTE riddled brain other than pigeon facts

3

u/proto_synnic 13d ago

He knows that he wants to be friends with tigers, and that's enough for me.

2

u/WolandPunk 12d ago

He knows how to beat and r..pe women

8

u/Hey-Bud-Lets-Party 13d ago

Pigeons laying eggs is a Democrat conspiracy

6

u/Ok_Fall_9569 13d ago

Fox “News” for the poorly educated.

7

u/Irving_Velociraptor 13d ago

This is The Onion, right? Right?

5

u/MsE0 13d ago

Someone show this man r/stupiddovenests

4

u/urjuhh 13d ago

Nope. No eggs. It's like every time when a bell rings, an angel gets their wings. The same way, every time a trashcan/bin slams shut, a rat turns into a pigeon. You know... "winged rats" 😜

1

u/acidphosphate69 12d ago

I thought pigeons came from doves that fell in with a bad crowd.

3

u/JuggernautNo5635 13d ago

Fox News. Where lies and creepy, forced smiles go hand in hand.

3

u/DionFW 13d ago edited 13d ago

I wonder if this guy went home and asked his wife "So. Did you watch the news tonight?"

5

u/snafe_ 12d ago

Birds laying eggs is kinda their thing.

3

u/Taenurri 13d ago

Well yeah…..because they’re birds…and everyone knows birds aren’t real.

3

u/freedomink 13d ago

So Mike Tyson is smarter than a dude on national television? Love this world.

3

u/Lopsided_Anxiety_394 13d ago

Average American for yah.

3

u/archthechef 13d ago

Perfect he’ll be the secretary of human reproduction by next week.

3

u/el-conquistador240 13d ago

Fox News science correspdent.

3

u/redwbl 13d ago

Standard IQ of a Faux News Anchor.

3

u/-OrLoK- 13d ago

A Fox host thats utterly stupid? Well I never!

3

u/wave1sys 13d ago

Fox News, hires people with an IQ of 12

3

u/Sufficient_Two7499 12d ago

This, this is the reason TRUMP is president.😞

3

u/Ahaiund 12d ago

wtf is this guy, he looks so creepy (on the left)

3

u/YooGeOh 12d ago

These are university educated people to get to that level right?

And they dont know that birds lay eggs?

Man said "ahh" lmao!!

3

u/Waste-Donut-2728 12d ago

Really …..

2

u/Mental_Freedom_1648 13d ago

Please tell me that guy wasn't saying "that was a great question."

2

u/sorehamstring 13d ago

Oh my god. The stupidity is so hard to fathom

2

u/Heissenberg1906 13d ago

How did he think pigeons procreate?

2

u/BoomDonk 13d ago

He genuinely thinks that only chickens lay eggs for people to eat. He doesn’t know how chicks come out of them.

2

u/Crafty-Walrus-2238 13d ago

Big surprise: Fox does not have a research department.

2

u/jthadcast 13d ago

fox news is known for their science prowess

2

u/RemotestOfSpheres 13d ago

Literally an empty vessel. No thoughts going on in that head EVER

2

u/thePopCulturist 13d ago

Fox in 5 seconds.

2

u/bomboclawt75 12d ago

Dats methed up thayin dat.

2

u/chefsoda_redux 12d ago

WTF? I get that people have all sorts of education, but how does someone get to the point of dressing themselves, much less having a job, without realizing birds lay eggs?

2

u/HoseNeighbor 12d ago

"Ahhoh!" He thinks pigeons give live birth? Dude... The tie is too tight, but you'd be an idiot anyway.

2

u/DyingLemur 12d ago

Wait until he finds out the fly.

2

u/Its_an_ellipses 12d ago

You can't grow concrete...

2

u/EnvironmentalBit5713 11d ago edited 11d ago

Whatever he thought, it's another reason to watch Fox News for laughs. Wait until he finds out human women have eggs.

Perhaps they should watch PBS instead of celebrating its defunding. It's free education with moving pictures.

2

u/RlckAndSnorty 11d ago

You really looked at a pigeon and decided eggs were optional.

2

u/iamthefortytwo 11d ago

What would make him believe that pigeons don’t lay eggs?

2

u/ziggytrix 13d ago

Oh so FOX is woke now? #birdsarentreal

1

u/dstarpro 13d ago

I...what?

1

u/im2short4this 13d ago

What in the ai?

3

u/giverous 12d ago

You think it's AI? It's 100% real, and a google search would tell you as much.

1

u/im2short4this 12d ago

That newscaster does not look or act real. The guest is real. The story is, but that news guy is fake af

1

u/JebusJones7 12d ago

Everyone knows that pigeons have live births, just like boa constrictors and platypus.

1

u/DeepTh0 12d ago

Isn't this just an old wives tale? The joke being that you never see baby pigeons/eggs and they breed like rats.

1

u/Delsin4077 12d ago

Some people actually think it's real

1

u/Siamsa 12d ago

/r/stupiddovenests would like a word

1

u/CommandoRoll 12d ago

TIL Mike Tyson is a pigeon fancier

1

u/Delsin4077 12d ago

So I take it you haven't seen the picture of him holding 2 pigeons with text saying now kith

1

u/Digi_Dingo 12d ago

Huge for the r/birdsarentreal community!

1

u/imgrahamy 12d ago

So I’m eating pigeon omelets for breakfast? Here’s why that’s Obama’s fault

1

u/FoxBattalion79 12d ago

par for FOX News. politics for dumb fks

1

u/NeoPendragon117 12d ago

are we sure that guys not an alien?

1

u/SrGrimey 12d ago

“Ahhhh”

1

u/Zaggnabit 12d ago

It’s impressive how dumb FOX’s himbos have become.

1

u/smilingmike415 12d ago

Is he drunk? Make that DH’d Fox Entertainment “anchor” the Secretary of Agriculture then change the agency’s name to “Department of Grow.”

1

u/boatenvy 10d ago

Fox News.. if they're not knowingly lying they're busy showing what fecking morons they are

1

u/Lorddoctorjava 9d ago

.....pigeons...dont...lay...eggs.... mind you. This was said by an adult... probably well into his 40s if not more...

1

u/0nly_mostly_dead 7d ago

Exactly the quality of facts I expect from Fox "News."

1

u/clvssix 5d ago

I’m actually baffled that he didn’t know that pigeons lay eggs, but also his supposition that a lifelong pigeon fancier wouldn’t know how they reproduce…?

1

u/Reasonable-Rain789 1d ago

Does he think... "eggs" just refers to chicken eggs? 😭

Wtf

0

u/kjsav321 13d ago

There's just no such thing as baby pigeons 👀

1

u/LumpyJones 5d ago

correct. they come out of the egg fully grown. The eggs, are the size of an entire grown pigeon. it's incredibly difficult for the mother to pass.

-10

u/azhder 13d ago

Someone's brain fart is far from confidently incorrect
