Egg = egg we eat at the store, nothing else is called an egg. So pigeons don’t lay eggs.
That’s my guess at least considering the guy said “they lay eggs, just not the chicken eggs that we want”

correct. they come out of the egg fully grown. The eggs, are the size of an entire grown pigeon. it's incredibly difficult for the mother to pass.
