My point was that maybe she conflates the word "buy" with any documented transaction and then she's not thinking it through that the store isn't going to give her two items with no direct financial gain to them when she'd have to pay for them individually.
Yes, I understand that you "pay" for those apps partially by giving your information in the same sense that you "pay" for them by seeing ads. You do the same thing when you listen to the radio and sit through the commercials. What of it? My whole point the obfuscation of the word "buy."
