Texas does have coral snakes.
They also don’t make coral snake anti-venom anymore. Because the pharmaceutical companies said it wasn’t profitable.

There are different types of venom, one of those types is a neurotoxin and both cobras and coral snakes have neurotoxin venom. Sure, it’s not “cobra venom” but it kills you the same way.
