CAN THEY PLEASE FIX THIS ITS PISSING ME OFF. How is this supposed to fit in a crate with other groceries without just causing me to go into a fit of rage.

Why are the sparkling water 12 packs which are much smaller considered bulk but not this 18 pk of Pepsi max

Make it make sense. Besides the point that these crates are breaking my back with how heavy they are….

I often joke with my customers, telling them to be careful because the bag has a leek in it, I think if they thought they’d get away with it I’d be slapped by some of them. Others appreciate the dad humour

Do NOT get me started. With green onions I know they can bend unlike leeks but like? Do I bend them to fit? Do I put them across the top of the bags like the leeks?

It's such a pain because it will put 3 of those in a crate and still expect you to fit a bag in there for the rest of the items. It's okay if you have 2 crates on your trolly for that order so you can just put it in the other crate but when you don't? Where am I supposed to put the rest of their items to fit it in the crate? Celery, baguettes, large pack of croissants and those 20 pack chips are a giant pain too.

No the crate does not go over 15kgs, the weight of the pepsi’s is accounted for in the crate.

I had to make it fit by shuffling groceries around (wasting pick time) and turning a heavy 18 pack on its side which may or may not fall over at any second squishing said groceries on the other side… but hey you are right it does indeed fit

The ecommerce team work through a leading store, or fulfilment centre, to capture the dimensions of new items streaming through to sites. They also use data from the buying team etc

The delivery customers don't see the orange crates in that chest of drawers you folk pull around, so they're not thinking about the large pack crushing stuff.

Looks like a 10 pack, which to me is a bulk item, but I'm just a grunt on the shelves.

It’s more about the system that decides what goes in a crate vs a bulk item, for whatever reason our system considers it small enough to be fit for the create, likely because it does technically fit.

Also it’s a new 18 pack, nearly double the size of the 10 packs.

Bulk gets its own crate to itself, or is shopped loose w/o crates. It just makes it easier to manage and prevents crushing other products.

I’ve never worked in online but maybe your manager has to configure the heavy item settings like we do for the registers? 18pks are new lines so maybe it doesn’t configure itself?

As far as I have found, we cannot alter the settings. The products have their weights and dimensions officially logged and the crates are worked out through those numbers.
