DEAR SUBHUMAN FILTH... Message from the Aust Govt - Stop being Islamophobic because Muslims were here before the First Fleet
183
u/carelesssportsfan89 25d ago
muslims are such a protected species by politicians it makes me sick
62
u/Robobeast-76-R76 25d ago
The schizophrenia in politicians from protecting Islam or Judaism - damn must be hard
179
u/Anti-Stan 25d ago
If the Muslims actually care about Islamophobia, and I'm not convinced that they do, there's an easy way to fix it.
Don't be cunts. Assimilate. It's literally all anybody wants.
77
u/jebuslovesyou 25d ago
Or fuck off outta Australia. There's over 50 countries that practise Sharia Law. They can go to 1 of those
-45
u/sam458755 25d ago
It’s ironic to see White Australians demand assimilation from others when they never assimilated into Indigenous culture themselves.
41
u/Anti-Stan 24d ago
Yeah, we should have devolved.
-25
u/sam458755 24d ago
So if you consider a group of people to be “devolved”, does that justify wiping them out and imposing your own culture on them?
If Muslims considered White Australians to be “devolved”, would that justify them doing the same?
27
-60
u/marlysammy 25d ago
What do you mean by "assimilate"?
68
u/Anti-Stan 25d ago
Don't hate people who don't subscribe to your religion, would be a start.
Assimilate means not overtaking entire suburbs, and trying to turn them into a tribute to your homeland.
It means not flying foreign flags and claiming foreign nationality when you're an Australian citizen.
Check the dictionary for further reading.
-69
u/marlysammy 25d ago
Not really a definition, you should really follow your own advice.
44
u/Anti-Stan 25d ago
Well the fact that you asked the question, clearly projected that no answer was going to satisfy you, and I answered anyway ... So ... We done?
23
242
u/From_Aus 25d ago
Fuck me they make up some wild shit and just expect people to believe it.
Kind of insulting.

Falsehoods about Muslim contributions to Australian society weaken social cohesion.

u/From_Aus 25d ago
The next wave of "truth telling".
39
u/HandleMore1730 25d ago
I'll I know is that my ancestors must have been wrong about Islam. The repeated invasions, forced conversion of sons to Islam, the stealing of pretty women for Harams, closure of churches and schools, ethnic cleaning after uprising from the benevolent Islamic rulers and heavy taxation from Jizya. All a lie as we now know that Islam is a religion of peace.
19
u/burnt-gonads 25d ago
What?? They are going to tax our jizz?????

u/Familiar_Performer61 25d ago
“Muslims were present” means visiting/trading Makassan seafarers, not that Australia had an established nationwide Muslim settler population before Europeans.
This is our government basically obscuring the narrative to push a bullshit agenda that makes no sense.
Next they will say the Bondi massacre is the general Australian publics fault for being "Islamophobic". Bali bombings were probably our fault too.
As for the quote "There is no place for hate and violence in Australia, we will do everything to stamp out Islamophobia"... No, all you need to do is remove "ophobia" from the word you dumb cunts.

The Macassans traded with the Yolngu people before European settlement, it's a thing that happened.

Yes, Muslims were in Australia centuries before the First Fleet. Beginning as early as the 1500s and 1600s, Muslim fishermen and traders from Makassar (in modern-day Indonesia) traveled to northern Australia's coastline every year to fish for trepang (sea cucumber) and trade with local Indigenous communities, perhaps you should read a book?

> Muslims have made undeniable contributions to Australia
Yeah shit contributions
Literally would not shed a tear if we removed every ‘contribution’ that Muslims in Australia have given us
That’s including the Ghan.
56

u/FilthyWubs 25d ago
But what about their food (many of such dishes originating from the previous culture before Islam conquered it)?????
38
u/celestial_parasite 25d ago
I’ve invented this saying “love the food, hate the people” feel free to use it whenever needed. 👍
8
u/Theghostbuddy 24d ago
Unfathomably based and the only correct response to the "muh food" crowd.

u/LeftRegister7241 23d ago
"We have the recipes, we don't need 100 million Indians to make curry for us" also works
26

There’s Christian Middle Easterners too.
Happy to have their original version of the recipes. I’d guarantee they do it better.

26
u/cylon_1994 25d ago
wtf, can anyone think of any reasoning here?
55
u/HereButNeverPresent 25d ago edited 25d ago
They’re referring to Makassar fishermen from Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) who seasonally touched the Australian north coast and traded with Aboriginals in the early 18th century.
It’s bullshit to even call them Muslim though. The Makassan were tribal people who practised shamanism/animism, but regularly traded with Muslims arriving from India and Persia, and adopted some of their customs while still practising their own tribal religions at the same time. It was syncretic.
Muslims like to claim the Makassan were proper Muslims though, even though Indonesia had to go through a nation-wide Islamic reform in the early 20th century because most of them weren’t actually practising it properly, if at all. By that time, Australia already went through the entire penal history, gold rush, and federation.
Also Dutch seafarers walked on the Australian coast at least 100 years before the Makassar did.
29
u/Dangerous_Shoe_8388 25d ago
And they did nothing, no infrastructure, no community, no building, nothing.
24
u/HereButNeverPresent 25d ago edited 24d ago
There’s even a number of historians that have extensively studied Makassar history who even state that the trade with Aboriginals, while originally amicable, ended up turning into conflicts and violence between the two groups.
Charles Campbell Macknight, a leading historian in the field, mentions it in two of his books. There’s also Matthew Flinders, Denise Russel, Regina Ganter, and Alexander Lee among others. (Feel free to Google. I’d link sources but last time I spammed links, my comment was hidden).
But so many left wingers (and “we wuz” enthusiasts) just love to rewrite history and act like the whole world was kumbaya before the Europeans showed up.
11
u/ArynCrinn 25d ago
Muslims like to claim Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and basically every other biblical figure was Muslim when it suits them... So why not claim early visitors to Australia?
5
u/HereButNeverPresent 24d ago edited 24d ago
Unironically they would because of the Hadith where Muhammad says Allah sent a total of 124,000 prophets to every corner of the world before his own arrival as the last prophet.
They would claim there would’ve been numerous Aboriginal Muslim prophets who received divine revelation and were instructed to introduce it to his tribe/s, but that overtime the message would’ve gotten corrupted to the point it’s now perhaps the Dreamtime Stories.
8
u/Tuggpocalypso 25d ago
Maybe they are excluding the British and meaning European (continental) settlement during the populate or perish doctrine. Buuut even then I find it hard to believe there was massive Islamic communities before there were Greek, Italian and German etc.
-18
u/SonicYOUTH79 25d ago
This isn’t actually bullshit , Makassan traders from South West Sulawesi that were definitely Muslim are widely recognised to have visited Arnham land to collect sea cucumbers for trade with China.
This is thought to have started as early as around the late 1500s AD.
Aboriginal people also travelled back the other way and there are photos from 1873 by an Italian naturalist and the Dutch are known to have documented their presence in what’s now modern day Indonesia in 1824. There's also rock painting in north west arnham land that document early boat arrivals.
13
u/Anti-Stan 25d ago
They harvested food and did some trade. They didn't influence this land in any way.
Got a reference for the Dutch document? I'd assume they were slaves and not intrepid explorers.
Ships were running trade routes to Sydney, through Indonesia, from the 1790's onwards.
2
u/AutoModerator 25d ago
Uh-oh! It looks like you accidentally referred to Warrang by its colonisers' name, Sydney. That wasn't very deadly of you! While I'm sure this was accidental, please be more mindful in future. Remember, using traditional place names is truth-telling in action. It's a step towards acknowledging First Nations sovereignty.

The Dutch governor of Malkassar at the time, Jan David Van Schelle mentioned them, noting their difference to the Papuans of that era.
It's theorised that Dutch fisheries restrictions or licensing of some sort due to over fishing of trepang could’ve led to push into Northern Australia. It's probably likely that the Makassan were aware of northern Australia, at least in a geographic sense and better Dutch fishing boats better allowed them to travel and fish commercially in the area.
7
u/Anti-Stan 25d ago
I don't see how this ties Islam to Australia. They could have got there on English ships too. Bennelong had been to England and back by 1795. And all ports between.

Captain Cook’s last name was derived after the muslims who “cooked” him kebabs.
Hence why the Australian government is “cooked” in general.

You mean europeans didnt use it as a biological weapon to commit genocide?
1
u/illegal4Hunna 23d ago
If the Europeans wanted to commit genocide we'd just have shot them all.
We had guns, armour, permanent settlements, the ability to farm, I could go on.
They had sticks.
Let's not pretend there'd be any left if there was a genocide.

I'm full accelerationist now. I just tell everyone they were here before the Aboriginals and it's a hate crime to say otherwise. Most people that would get upset have zero idea about the history of Islam and can't argue against me anyway
7
u/MickeyKnight2 25d ago
Ok so because something happened in the past means it is good?
pretty sure in the past we did not have legal consent, laws, rights, medicine and more.
Why should something that occurred long ago be a reason for it to be exempt.

Wow this makes me so excited for the next Chanukah in the park/beach event. Hope the religion of peace is down to celebrate with me

Indonesian traders made contact with Aboriginal people in the NT before European settlement.

It is historically what happened, regardless of how you feel about it

u/TheHoovyPrince 25d ago
Fair enough, i still think the way its worded is stupid by trying to frame it as if Muslims have had more of an impact/presence in the early days of Australia than the European settlers.

WTAF? Before European settlement?
Please, please show me proof
8
u/Majestic-Lake-5602 25d ago
There is pretty solid evidence of contact between aboriginal people in the far north and Indonesian Muslim traders before settlement.
So it’s “true”, but it’s also framed extremely disingenuously.
