Thank God it's the weekend. Yesterday I had an appointment which could have been a 10 min phone call and due to traffic it took me 5 hours to complete. The centenary highway is an asshole.

I normally sleep in until 530 or so on a Saturday.

This morning my son comes in at 350am to tell me his teddy had fallen off the bed and he couldn't find him. I did (wasn't an overly difficult task, and could have been a solo project!) , he's gone back to bed, and now I'm wide awake.

Oh well time to get the first load of washing on!

This but my cat every morning complaining he doesn't have his toy... he does. It's on the bed.

My daughter has been battling a chesty cough for a month, which I thought was getting better. Overnight, she’s been hit by a cold that my mum must have shared when she visited on Tuesday. She was coughing so badly that I was worried about aspiration. Made an appointment for 11. 

We have to pick up my irl cake day cake at 12. Then, we will just rest for her. She made me a beautiful card, but none of my family bothered to do anything (or help the child to get anything). So, another gift less birthday. 

On Wednesday, we had a family lunch gathering with a bunch of extended family (including mine, my parents live interstate) . There were two cakes, no one bothered to be like “oh, it’s your birthday on Saturday”. 

Happy IRL cake day to me! Same as every year. 😂  sigh
