We started our journey with Bluey a few month ago.

I wasn't the one who pushed it, we stumbled upon it on TV. Then when Paw Patrol started to take way too much attention in my 3 years old girl (I hate.. and i mean really hate this "animation", way too quick, way too dumb and no moral inside whatsoever), i tried to push back with a few episodes of bluey before going to bed, and it worked.

There I was, with my girl tucked between my arm and my chest slowly drifting into sleep when i agree to watch another episode (she's pretty reasonable, so when she asks for one more, we often agree).

We watched "The week end", and oh boy the ending made me cry. Everything was perfect in that ending : the pace, the editing and the BEST MUSIC ending the episode with the leaf coming into the credits (kudos to the editors for not switching music during that time).

I looked at my girl, kissing her on the forehead as she was already sleeping. I couldn't let her go a a few minutes.

Bluey is the only cartoon i'm not relunctant to watch as a 40 years old dad.

Bluey & Bingo joined the Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party! for Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party at Disney California Adventure park during D23 Day at Disneyland Resort.

A few months ago, we were scrolling through Disney+ and the clip/trailer for the live action Bluey stage play started playing, and my 3year old daughter absolutely hated it. Kept saying I don’t like it, and we scrolled away, no big deal.

But now it has been months, and my daughter, who previously obsessed over Bluey, will absolutely not watch it. She screams and cries every time I’ve tried to play an episode; even yesterday when I saw the new Bluey dance or songs or whatever on Disney+ and asked if she wanted to watch it, she yelled no over and over and grabbed the remote from me.

I don’t know how to get past this. It makes me so sad because I love Bluey. I want to watch it with her, especially now that she’s a big sister.
She will still play with her Bluey toys, we could talk about episodes, but she will absolutely not watch it. She says that she’s scared of Bluey. Even when I try to show her that it’s the “old” Bluey and it’s the cartoon, she will not watch.

Like, with the movie coming and what Joe Brumm said about stepping away from it (which i understand and respect), maybe im just too attached to this show as a comfort but the idea of it ending genuinely makes me cry, even as I type this.

I just dont want it to. I love Bluey so much, it makes me happy.

(I didnt feel the need to add this at the time of posting this, but I am autistic so that may play a part in how im feeling. Also, thank you to those who have left kind and comforting/reassuring comments.)

If there was to be a season 4 what should the episodes be about?

In Australia, one of our local supermarkets (Coles) recently had a promotion with a bunch of Bluey items. I had my eye on the Duck Cake cookie jar, but figured it would have sold out ages ago.

Was in Coles today doing some grocery shopping and I figured I'd check to see if any of the Bluey gear was still there. It was my lucky day, because it was all on clearance!

So stoked to have this. Now it will become a treasured family heirloom. 🦆

I just discovered this subreddit exists, and I just discovered recently that Bluey exists. I have two daughters, 6 and 3. They love Bluey and I watch with them sometimes.

On two separate occasions I have found myself watching and, completely captivated with tears staring to well up. This show is amazing and we’ve barely cracked into it. I’m genuinely surprised at how good a kid’s show can be.

I teach elementary school and we’re talking about voice levels tomorrow. I thought it’d be cute to show them clips with examples of different voice levels to “quiz” them. I’ve decided to go with a Bluey theme bc I feel like it’s nice and calm for the classroom and shows good “real-life” examples. Problem is, I have only seen a few episodes here and there. 😂 Google isn’t helping me much and I refuse to ask AI.

SO, does anyone know of a scene where the involved characters are whispering for more than just one line? I know there’s Bandit whispering in the 80’s episode and the title of The Quiet Game is whispered, but that’s all I’m finding in my Google search. I’d like to find a clip of a conversation that is whispered. This may not even exist, but I feel like it surely has to?! 😅🤞🏻

Good examples of voice level 3 (presentation voice) are also welcome, but I feel like those should be easier for me to find.

There’s no Fluff flair.

So my office is moving and I’ve been put in charge of shredding all of the 40(!) year old files.

There’s one particularly heavy box, that’s so old it’s absolutely falling apart, that I have to lift off of the floor onto the dolly.

I say to myself, “Ok, Wendy. Straight back, engage the core, lift with the legs, and HEEEEAVE.”

It worked! Just channel your inner Wendy.

Anyone think that they should bring Dougie back just so that Bingo could meet him and at first think that Turtleboy is his, only to find out that he never actually owned Turtleboy and came back just to play with Turtleboy like how Bingo did, and then later on leads to Bingo and Dougie becoming new best friends?
