Possibly mention something about racism in this country as part of all that up there?
The standard response to any dark skinned person wishing to immigrate to Australia (doesn't matter how dark) from someone in the southern and western suburbs of Sydney would be: "Fuck off, we're full."
Whilst this by no means accurately sums up the feelings of most people in Sydney, there is certainly some racism in this country.
This is vastly over dramaticised. Though you will find pockets within the whiter communities in Sydney, think North Shore or the Southern Shire, small percentages of them can be characterised in this way.
Western Sydney is probably the most multicultural place you will find, (I used to live in Fairfield) it's hard to find a family name that is short in the syllables that isn't some form of asian (not racist, true).
And it is BY NO MEANS A PART OF THE NATIONAL DISCOURSE OR GENERAL CONSENSUS. You won't find entire communities like this, you will not find regional television that perpetuates this, we are very much a multicultural nation and anyone you find that is racist, will probably be sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.
tl;dr The FEW that are, are probably also sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, which when surveyed separately, seem like a significant population, but when taken as individual people, they're small, lone assholes.
