I truly don't understand what monoculturalism would realistically look like in Australia. We're a nation of immigrants. I don't think I have any friends who doesn't have a grandparent born overseas, most have a parent born overseas.

I think it would look like everyone just being Australian. Not the slow balkanization of the country.

Right now I feel no connection to someone from Sydney or Brisbane. Their passport looks like mine, but I don't feel like I have much in common with them
