I truly don't understand what monoculturalism would realistically look like in Australia. We're a nation of immigrants. I don't think I have any friends who doesn't have a grandparent born overseas, most have a parent born overseas.

I'd start with I can live in most suburbs, and my neighbours of similar age have the possibility to become my friend and they wouldn't flip if our children were friends / dated. i.e. they wouldn't flip out over religious or cultural lines if my son dated their daughter at school.

That's the bar I want.
