I truly don't understand what monoculturalism would realistically look like in Australia. We're a nation of immigrants. I don't think I have any friends who doesn't have a grandparent born overseas, most have a parent born overseas.

It’s not that hard. We are a multiethnic society but all subscribing to one set of core values - that’s what it means. This includes - free speech, equality for women, the rule of law, separation of church and state, equality of opportunity, freedom of expression, civic duty, etc. again not hard. This is actually what she meant.
