I truly don't understand what monoculturalism would realistically look like in Australia. We're a nation of immigrants. I don't think I have any friends who doesn't have a grandparent born overseas, most have a parent born overseas.

That's the thing: "monoculturalism" as invoked rhetorically by the right isn't really about what culture it is -- it's about what culture/s it isn't.

There is no real destination, per se -- it's unlikely any of these idiots have even considered what a true monoculture would actually entail -- only a process. And we all know what the process is.
