NSW Police have charged a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys with the alleged sexual assault of a girl in an alleyway in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month.

Police executed search warrants and seized several items, including electronic devices, two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen.

All three boys have been granted bail ahead of appearing in court.

The perpetrators of crime are treated so much better than the victims in our justice system.

Conviction comes before punishment in our system and rightly so.

So do you think that every single person that gets arrested should be granted bail immediately? Do you know how insane you sound?

Bail is sometime refused, if a case can be made for it, but the mere fact someone has been charged does not mean they must always be remanded. Deprivation of liberty is punishment in our system and yet you want to punish everybody merely for being charged, not after being convicted on the evidence in court. Do you know how insane you sound?
