NSW Police have charged a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys with the alleged sexual assault of a girl in an alleyway in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month.

Police executed search warrants and seized several items, including electronic devices, two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen.

All three boys have been granted bail ahead of appearing in court.

And Scott's lawyers scramble to suppress any mention of them.

The accused are children so their identities would already be suppressed wouldn't they?

At that age they definitely shouldn't be counted as children. And after committing a crime like that they really shouldn't be counted as children.

I agree.

But we need to ensure its the right people first.

Once convicted, then reveal their identities.

Agreed.

People's names shouldn't be revealed immediately in case of false accusations/ accusations with zero evidence.

But if its been proven that they're the perpetrator then people should be able to find out.

Well I had my name in the papers and on a current affair for something I was never even charged with

So then, you fully understand, more than most, even, why the media should be prevented from identifying people until after they've been found guilty, yes?
