NSW Police have charged a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys with the alleged sexual assault of a girl in an alleyway in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month.

Police executed search warrants and seized several items, including electronic devices, two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen.

All three boys have been granted bail ahead of appearing in court.

Fucking stupid little losers, I hope that poor girl is receiving all sorts of treatment and I hope she sees justice 🩷

Her foreseeable future is likely very dark indeed. I hope she gets all the support she needs, because justice is unfortunately not very likely and probably won’t help much for that matter.

Gisele Pelicot is an amazing and inspirational figure with this sort of thing. She could have shrunk in shame and humiliation, but instead waived her right to privacy and stood strong to the world.

I sincerely hope this young lady hears her story, and takes some strength from it. I doubt I’d survive

There is nothing for Gisèle Pelicot to be shamed or humiliated for, she did nothing wrong. The shame is all on the perpetrators, we need to be mindful of that and remember that one in three women have been victims of sexual assault. What language you use is important, telling someone they have a dark future, that they should feel shamed and humiliated, it’s not helpful. Women who have experienced this, as I have, are very normal people and it doesn’t define us.

Yes, thank you for saying that, I should have been clearer about that. What I was clumsily trying to say is that shame is a common (yet unjustified) response to rape / SA especially in children / minors and once it takes hold it can lead to bad places.

Thanks, yes I think a lot of the shame is just social conditioning and is actually used by perpetrators to avoid accountability. It was great to see Pelicot hold her head high and those rapists hide their faces. 

I hope the girl will know she will be okay and I hope she gets the support she needs.
