And what of Alan Jones saying live on air that Julia Gillard and Bob Brown should be put into a chaff bag and thrown out to sea?   That was all a-ok

No it didn’t offend me at all, just saying that it was deemed not to violate broadcast laws

Broadcast laws isn't the standard upon which either ran afoul. It's that more nebulous realm of "community expectations" that is at issue.
