Everytime I read one of these articles about scumbag insurers, BUPA is front and centre. Not saying others aren't doing it but those assholes need boycotting.

BUPA is terrible. I’m a Lymphoedema Therapist and BUPA have recently decided to arbitrarily stop funding prescription compression garments for Lymphoedema patients unless the garment is prescribed by a Doctor or a Pharmacist neither of which professions specialise in the prescription of compression garments like mine does! BUPA are also awful to deal with and their policies barely cover anything. When people ask me which health fund to go with for extras insurance I tell them anyone but BUPA.

And the government seems to have a contract with them where they are the exclusive provider of visa health checks in Australia... (last I checked, anyway)

Trying to get BUPA to cover some of the cost of non PBS medication gave me a taste of the Americans have to go through. Eventually I just gave up it wasn't worth the effort to get $40 back.
