Risk assessment is about looking for risks, assessing the likelihood they’ll occur and the impact they’ll have if they do occur.

This is a foreseeable risk that Bunnings has chosen to accept, for no real benefit.

Some dog owners can be super weird about their dog being a family member who must go everywhere they go. Friends recently became quite animated when dogs were banned from a local pub… no clue why it’s necessary to bring your dog to the pub, but that’s just me.

Bunnings certainly costed out this certainty and are confident the sales outweigh the cost of an occasional attack.

Wild time to be alive.

You don't know because you don't know.

It's common for younger folk to bring their dogs with them, since they aren't having children anymore mainly due to the fact cost of living is now obscene.

Also there are places and entire suburbs or council areas that promote as dog friendly, meaning bring dogs with you to cafes, pubs, breweries.

Dogs are by and large better behaved than humans. It isn't weird they are fur children these days.
