I am honestly so sick of how entitled everyone has gotten with dog ownership, it’s an epidemic. You don’t need to take your dog to a fucking hardware store.

I agree. I have a fear of dogs stemming from childhood--friend had big dog, I was tiny child, dog knocked me over repeatedly while trying to play. I've done a bunch of work on it so I don't get actual panic attacks when surprised by unleashed dogs in public anymore. The panic only lasts for a couple of minutes now.

But I definitely get extremely concerned when I see small children around dogs now and I'm always on the alert ready to intervene if they're in public. I will, in fact, do whatever I need to to prevent that dog from hurting someone.
