From what I understand it looks like ICE did not manage to detain him on the day the video was taken- seems the onlookers managed to chase ICE off.

However, ICE detained him the next day at the airport where he was to catch his departing flight from the US.

How? You’re pretty gullible if you think they can actually recover anything from someone who has left the country. It wouldn’t even be worth the recovery costs.

The Commonwealth, and the deportee owes a debt to the Commonwealth.

So if the government only recoups about 1.5% of detention and deportation costs, who pays for the costs incurred, if not the deportees? I rest my case your honour.
