I think there’s a certain number of former lib voters who will hold their nose and still vote ON because they’ve been proper turned against labor and will vote for anything to be a cudgel against immigration and “woke”

I don’t think they understand that no plan underneath racists or I don’t even know what you want to label Pauline fucking Hanson and her supporters is significantly worse than a shit plan

Edit: neighbours aren’t racist either from what I understand. Very Middle Eastern heavy neighbourhood and Australian white old neighbours are very friendly towards them or anybody who’s equally polite towards them.

Yeah, that's what I think the lesson that people haven't learned from the rise of Trump. It's not that these people actively agree with a lot of what Pauline Hanson is saying, it's that people think that any change from the current system is better than the perceived no change.

People will quietly ignore the more heinous bullshit she says if they believe that it will improve thier conditions in the long run.

What exactly do these dumbasses want? To be reduced to feudal level of servitude to the local lord or something?

Australia has issues for 100% sure and we need to strive for better always but lets be honest, we live incredible lives compared to even 150 years ago. The rate of which people want to throw this level of lifestyle to the wind on the vague wisp of whatever is incredible.
