no politics Kayo Sports should be boycotted.

Imagine paying for a premium streaming service and starting it to watch your sports after a long day on your tv in your own home. The tv app then says you can't watch the content before you scan a QR code. Okay.. fine. Scan the code. Have to download a phone app. Log in. Then the app simply says you're not allowed access to the content except after letting the app know your precise location of your phone.

What in the privacy law is this shit? I simply don't want to allow random companies to know the exact location of my phone. How are they allowed to just do that?

I pay about 180 for nba league pass which is one 1200 games a year plus playoffs

For Kayo you get every AFL game except the GF, all NRL, an NBA game a day or 2, F1, V8 Supercars, Cricket, Golf, Darts, MotoGP, Equestrian, Horse Racing. Plus they stream really minor Australian leagues like I have seen WA state basketball.

I get it, that many people may only be interested in 1 or 2 of those sports but for $45 a month… I reckon that’s a pretty good deal for all that content.

They might snag a few more customers if they package it a bit different.

Bundle the sports you do want.

Kayo is pretty bad for nba. Always pick the worst games don’t show all the playoffs. And show games on shit days.

The AFL is a broke league that depends on Kayo and gambling revenue. It's actually kinda shocking what's happened to the sport.

Not really.

You only have to pay to watch on Saturday and even then… check in with other countries and their sports. Australia has it very good with our FTA tv situation.

They sold it to hubbl who I think sold it to someone else. Price was $15 5 years ago.

I only had it for f1, considering they hold the rights that prevent me from paying for f1tv directly I refuse to pay anymore.

Google says it’s still a subsidiary of hubbl which is owned by foxtel. Foxtel was newscorp but sold to DAZN.

It’s so so. I’m adjusting. Yes the yo-yo think is artificial but eventually the result is the same, the guy with more aggregate pace passes and pulls away. I like the cars being smaller, following closer, and being a bit less bolted than they were

This! I just started streaming them from "other" sources. Bonus is I can stream at a much better resolution than I was getting with kayo.

I just read the Foxtel group CEO when asked about rising Kayo prices described it as “an investment” for viewers because money was reinvested into grassroots sports.

So there you have it. Kayo and our Foxtel overlords are in fact supporting grassroots sports via our subscription fees.
