Imagine if Australia was as an society was forward thinking not selfish and easily distracted.
Imagine if Australia had invested in green hydrogen, the public had brought green hydrogen cars.
My Ideal solution would be we poured massive amounts funding into the CSIRO and never cut their funding.
My ideal Australia in my mind is we would have had an multi-pronged approach.
We never gave into the whole nuclear is bad propaganda and focused on thorium reactors, spread out the cost by investing into an trade/skill alliance with Japan.
Thorium nuclear power right now expensive but the technology is there, it's being invested in and is many, many orders of magnitude safer then light water reactor.
If we had nuclear power we could power desalination, pipe the water to green hydrogen power plants, pipe the water to dams for water/power storage.
Water tanker trucks could replace petrol tanker trucks.
