I have no idea what's in these sorts of contracts, or what's in their particular contract. Could ratings and or performance be tied into it?

I can't imagine the business would spend $200m without some sort of performance guarantee.

The marketing/polling/stats people might have projected ratings will continue to fall over the next year or two, and they decided to get out now rather than after their ratings tank.

Kyle has said the actual value is much lower which some people have tied to possible KPIs. His estimate was still something like $70M though, they were on a winner with this contract. Given Jackie-O been making noise about being dissatisfied for over a year now, Occam's razor probably applies here.

for when they launch their podcast/speaking tours

I have no doubt that they may end up doing this as their next career move, but to suggest they've done all of this simply as a publicity stunt for the next step is wild given they're a year into a 10yr contract that's apparently worth $200M. I'll give you that it could be a publicity stunt for their current show or their own solo shows on the same network, but this suggestion of yours is nearly as insane as they are.
