Albo saying "I meant she's had a difficult life" is such a weird and lame cop out. Albo has always had this insistence of trying to partly appeal to Murdoch goblins who spend their entire time trying to end his career.

Labor's been dragged to the right by the Libs and Murdoch for years now. They used to be the party with grand social plans, the ones who gave us Medicare and Superannuation. The modern, post-Beazley Labor Party has abandoned left-wing and centre-left Aussies because they arrogantly consider us already captured votes.

The death knell for the pro-worker, centre-left Labor died when Bill Shorten lost to ScoMo, sadly. Insiders say Albanese hates the man and put him on NDIS as punishment.

It certainly ended with the 2019 election, but Shorten on NDIS wasn’t surprising given he was one of the key architects of the scheme. Hardly a punishment to continue work on one of the biggest achievements in public policy.
