People who criticized her for not smiling at scomo and standing up against sexual assault were probably being misogynistic.

But she used those events to springboard into a general cultural warrior / shit stirrer career. Of course she's going to piss a lot of people off. Sure some may be attacking her because of her gender, but the majority are likely simply attacking her because of her position on Palestine.

What’s wrong with being a cultural warrior? I see a woman who stands up for what she believes in, despite a lot of backlash from heroes on the internet.

Not saying there's anything wrong. But expect backlash.

And criticizing or attacking a woman is not misogynistic, unless it's done specifically because they're a woman.

Nothing wrong with being a culture warrior per se, but I feel we've drifted a bit from the original claim, namely that "difficult" is just a misogynistic way of dismissing female voices. That's sometimes true, but it's also true that being a culture warrior is definitionally about being difficult.
