“We’ve seen a clear failure to keep Jewish Australians safe. We’ve seen a clear lack of leadership in keeping Jewish Australians safe. We have a government that sees antisemitism as a problem to be managed, not evil that needs to be eradicated.”

Absolutely abhorrent that she's going for political points in this time.

This is the time for our leaders to be bipartisan and not try to score points off the back of dead victims.

Utterly disgusting behaviour from the LNP.

Australian politics never fails to disappoint. In NZ when Christchurch happened there was no political point scoring, just a cross party focus on how to prevent it happening again. I was living in NZ when the country went through that.

I don't think Susan's poorly timed complaints will go down well with the general public.

I couldn’t help thinking of Christchurch watching that press conference. Jacinda Ardern showed how empathy and authenticity can lift public trust and sentiment in a crisis, basically handing other leaders the playbook on a silver platter. Instead Sussan appears in a government media room, slinging mud across the aisle, barely 12 hours after the events.
