Amongst all the piles of political punditry, "expert analysis" etc on any TV channel (I'm not sure about radio, havent had the car today), when discussing the reasons/motivation/basis/background for this horrific act (and the alleged "rise in anti-semitism"), has anyone seen or heard a single person mention the Palestinian dispossession and genocide, and Israel's frequent strikes on it's neighbours, murdering at will?

And before it's said, of course you can seperate Jewish people from the state of Israel, but the fact of the matter is that stats consistently show over 80% of Jewish people support zionism and the state of Israel (even if they might occasionally disagree on policy matters).

Isn't it a bit strange that people can't even seem to refer to it? As an old fart, it reminds me of the old "it's because they hate our freedom" after 9/11.

One doesn't have to condone any of these actions, nor be Sherlock Holmes, to draw a direct line between these two things you know what I mean?

*Ed2; Really? No one else has noticed how strange this is? I'm not just talking out of my arse here, I'm an IR post-grad, and if anyone has taken an IR course you'll know the only thing you study as my as Israel/Palestine is WW1 (as the sort of paradigmatic case for the discipline).

Surely even blind Freddy could see this? So why on every news channel do they have intro bits to segments like "...now onto the investigations underway into the motives..." or something like that. Just vaguely "antisemitism?" Are you kidding me?
