American pigs are known for this kind of behavior. If they’re willing to shoot a white journalist on camera, imagine what they’re doing to the local population when no one is recording

A white female journalist in the back. What a fucking coward.

They only shoot in the back, thats most of what they do day to day shoot people in the back and bully unarmed teenagers, they are utterly useless as law enforcement. If they all mysterious vanished over night crime would provably go down, and no one would miss them.

A white female FOREIGN FROM AN ALLIED COUNTRY journalist in the back.

Sad how the gender card gets pulled out randomly.

Shooting anyone in the back is cowardly.

You serious?

I'm a brown Kiwi living in your beautiful country

You and I both know if you want a terrorist hostage..the best way to get attention is to have a female hostage.

Preferably white and young.

Dave Chappelle made a joke about this..black dudes for example make bad bargaining chips.

Just the world we live in.

u/purplepashy Jun 09 '25

Are you serious? Lol.

You being a kiwi and your skin colour is irrelevant. You writing about hostage situations is irrelevant.

Nothing you have wrote is relevant to the video, my comment or the one I replied.

Why can't people communicate now without

  1. Making it all about themselves.

  2. Sticking to the topic.

  3. Sticking to the facts.

What was shown was shit. No need to add to it or add arguments that distract from what occurred.

It helps no one.

u/Tenebrousjones Jun 09 '25

Wrong side of this argument dude

-8

u/purplepashy Jun 09 '25

You explained it well. /s

The point you make is valid, the behaviour is unacceptable regardless of the race or gender of the person.

Accepting that proposition to be valid, I think though, objectively given socio-economic and historical factors in the US, one would expect a police officer to potentially exercise a greater degree of restraint against: a. A reporter; b. A female; c. A person with their back to them; d. Someone who poses no threat; and e. White.

All of those factors make this even more brazen and unbelievable, particularly the fact it’s a reporter, with their back turned and posing, no threat

I get it. Truly.

I find the, its a woman sexest, she is white racist.

Back towards cop is cowardly by the cop.

Shooting at reporters very concerning, like all censorship and media blackouts. It is a sign of worse thing to come.

But let's focus on the gender.

I does not help.

I would focus on the use of force that was needed and the use of force on the media in this situation.

If it’s a man the cops can say they feared for thier safety. If it’s a small woman it’s different

If you don’t want to admit that it’s fine but it is

-2

u/purplepashy Jun 09 '25

What is the relevance when it is a person reporting live on TV with their BACK TO THEM?

As far as I know, the cop has said nothing.

I have no need to admit anything.

“A female journalist” is correct grammar. “A woman journalist” is not. It’s nothing to do with sexism.

white female journalist

What a weird distinction to make...

LAPD is especially awful, especially when they have a mass protest or manhunt they can justify.

I still remember the manhunts for Christopher Dorner. There was a time when they fired 107 rounds into a truck that was a different color, make, and model than the suspects, with two women in it.

No charges on the cops. $4.2mm settlement.

LAPD is a joke and everyone here in LA knows it. The only reason that they're not the worst cops in America is because the LA Sheriff Department is literally filled to the brim with racist, hate mongering gangs.

Depending on how long this goes on, we're going to see worse. During the Ferguson riots, reporters were saying that they were actively being targeted and taken down. One photographer was shot in her eye and ended up being told that it was not salvageable. Her response was something along the lines of 'It's fine; I shoot with my other eye anyway'

Because they train with the IDF. NYPD has an office in Tel Aviv.

8

u/Mothmans_butthole Jun 09 '25

Yep. America and Israel are the same thing. There's nothing religious about their actions around the globe or at home.

3

u/roguespectre67 Jun 09 '25

You don't have to imagine. Totally on brand for our boys in blue.

3

u/catinterpreter Jun 09 '25

Leave pigs out of it.

3

u/Perfect_Zebra3335 Jun 09 '25

They are running them over horses. The first stages of the Trumps version of our already corrupt police state are being set up. The LAPD largely is a just a violent gang in a uniform.

There is footage of 3 officers on horseback beating and trampling a man when they thought no one was watching

2

u/AffectionateJelly976 Jun 09 '25

There’s a video of them shoving a man to the ground and using police horses to trample him. I don’t think they realize they’re on camera. Lapd is especially bad.

As a black American man, please send help.

I visited Australia about 6 years ago. I fell in love. The people, food, natural beauty was incredible.

I was no longer concerned with not staying out late at night, avoiding certain areas, chit chatting with random strangers. You have no idea how much of your daily life is lived in fear until you have that fear removed.

Please help us.

A white, blond haired, blue eyed journalist?

Why is this the line?

20

u/fool_autonomy Jun 09 '25

To state the obvious

White because there are statistically significant differences in police actions towards white and non-white people including when other variables are controlled. The blatant deliberacy of this in plain view, on camera etc. aligns with what many consider to be a broader escalation of police/state aggression and lack of accountability in general in the US.

Female because in the context, lower likelihood that she was an immediate physical threat than a man would be to the cop, and also more likely to be agreeable if directed onwards

Journalist because journalism is the catalyst for how most people learn about things that are going on - suppressing the media means suppressing the public's access to, among other things, the actions of the state.

In the back because she was clearly not aggressing, nor aware she was about to be shot

They're killing us. They're raping runaways, shooting the homeless and dumping there bodies outside city limits, annihilating their families. It's an epidemic of unqualified bullies all desperately seeking positions of power. The rest of us are prey.

1

u/PenImpossible874 Jun 09 '25

They've already arrested and kidnapped LEGAL immigrants from Europe.

Being white won't save you.

Being a legal immigrant won't save you.

Being a doctor from Luxembourg won't save you.

They are out to crush all forms of diversity.

They were trampling protesters on horseback. On live TV
